Camp Mode -- heated bed / vault?

Why not just plug in a efficient space heater in the back? Why go through all this remodel and warranty voiding ? What is the cubic ft of the vault?

Also the vault is protecting you from conventional and is probably insulated , just use a reasonable sleeping bag.

Heater this time of year, air conditioner in warmer months in a lot of regions.
Ability for a window to slide like in most trucks for the last 50 years cuts down on a lot of extra equipment, failure points, expense, space, and hassle.

Realistically, most camping doesn't need HVAC. It's camping, as long as you have shelter, you are fine most of the time. The bed alone should do just fine for most people, since it's still going to be easier than setting up a tent and offer better insulation.

If someone wanted to camp in winter months, a cheap space heater should do just fine at keeping the bed warm. You could even have a large heated blanket if you want.

Camping on a hot day also doesn't really need AC, just have a nice fan to circulate the air and that should be enough.

If it is extremely hot or extremely cold, then sleeping in the cab would still be an option for those times. Lifting the back seats should provide enough room for one person to sleep and if there is a second/third person, the front seats would be good enough, at least to avoid those extreme temperatures.

Yea there are a ton of different situations and workarounds. Just a window slider could have saved a lot of that and HVAC in the bed area, especially for transporting temperature sensitive things in addition to sleeping was an early "probably" from Elon/Tesla so it is understandable that people are disappointed and having to rig alternatives.

Remember that the vault cover rolls past the rear window down to its storage spot, and during that time acts essentially as a guillotine across the rear window area. So anything such as a duct that crosses that interface gets chopped when you open/close the vault cover.

I have a hard time imagining the cab’s HVAC satisfactorily cooling or heating the vault. I’ll consider something like this:

Best solution in my opinion (for my use) and what I plan to do. A "Breezer" type window is a thought though.
That said, the floor with the back seats folded up looks like a good sleeping spot.

I’m taking about HVAC for the vault tent. Without a pass through I gave up on my sleeping with my torso in the cab and legs in the vault fantasy.

Breezer Windows for the win! It is an insert with a glass panel that clips into the insert. So take out the rear window out and install the the Breezer Window insert. When you want window out just unclip the glass panel and then you have almost full access for airflow between the Cain and vault. I contacted Breezer and they said they will definitely make one for the Cybertruck. Breezerwindows.com

Thanks for the share. I just bookmarked the Breezer website. I think that would be a perfect option for the Cybertruck. I plan to get the Cybertruck tent and it has a zipper window facing the back window. So, when camping, I can just remove my Breezer window, unzip the tent flap, and voila camping mode activated with full access to the vault.

I think it would be cool to watch movies and such (from the 18.5" screen) from the comfort of your Cybertruck tent, along with accessing camping supplies that you might have stored in the backseat area.

So it states in camp mode the cabin temperature can be controlled. So, is that for the interior truck cabin or vault/bed area? Would be absolutely useless if it only was the interior cabin area. I can see so many, "Honey, I'm cold I'm going to sleep in the front seat. Me too dear, this tent sucks."​

All you have to do is plug in a small space heater in the provided outlet in the truck bed and I'm sure even the smallest spacer heater would have no problems heating the small volume of air that the Cybertruck tent has.

Very true. But why even say anything about heating cabin when you're advertising camping. Noone is sitting in their cars while camping. It's just bad advertising.
