And once you’ve solved for all this climate conditioning, you’ll be all ready for one grown man to sleep diagonally a coffin.

Which is fine if that’s what you’re expecting to get out of it

just seems like people are expecting something much different?

Looks like whoever sleeps back there won’t need a pillow ?

Cool. I wish they shared more of the technical side. Bottomline heating and cooling your sleeping envelope takes less energy than your entire room/tent/vault.

They literally make a tent for camping/sleeping use case, not sure where you are camping/sleeping that you need to be in a vault.

Just plug in a portable HVAC in the outlet in the vault. That way you're not spending energy heating or cooling the cabin when no one is in there.
You can use one of these. I have the "EnjoyCool" model. https://www.amazon.com/EENOUR-QN750...onsumption/dp/B0BX6RNZRT?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1
Built in is better. I'm thinking for dogs in vault not glamping. Yet would be nice for the bed/vault tent to be heated and cooled. Also when glamping I'd be plugged in to 220volt.

Let's educate. Let's say you have a truck bed tent, you've seen those right? Some are very elaborate and sealed. Instead of using a propane tent heater why not use the trucks very capable heater and ac? See now? Cool. Not everyone tent camps either. I myself, a 20 time Mt Shasta conquerer since 9 years old do tent camp but when this mountaineer, camper, outdoorsman travels, he likes a little comfort too. Once in a while. See now?

John, Let’s take a look at this… jookyone said “not sure where you are camping/sleeping that you need to be in a vault.” So I post a drawing from an article about gang violence which shows a street covered in body outlines as an answer to the question. Has zero to do with heaters or ac.

As they say, if you have to explain a joke, it probably isn’t funny.

I can promise you that I have no intentions of camping in a CT.

Right size your winter camping shelter. I've spent months camping at or below 0˚ and the tent is only too cold for about 15 minutes after you and your camp mate(s) zip closed the door behind you. If the tent is too small, you'll be opening vent flaps right away. If it's too large you won't be at a comfortable temperature for ~an hour... then you'll open the vents. You'll appreciate when somebody gets up to go to the bathroom due to the reprieve from the hot, stale, humid air you've been breathing overnight. If winds will be blowing all night, don't sleep in your clothes! They'll be saturated with sweat by morning and you'll freeze in them when you get out of the tent. Rather, arrange your first layer of your morning change of clothes inside your sleeping bag at your feet. They'll be warmish and dryish and your cold outer layer will keep you warm until you work up a sweat getting breakfast cooked.

Being cold while winter camping is mostly an imagined concern, and a fleeting few moments between clothing/activity transitions.

Now... as for summer camping in the South??? DON'T DO IT!!! ?

All good. The vault hight is 20" at your feet and 32" at your head. Less a mattress and it is tight. Not ideal but great for safety or getting out of the element in a pinch. I don't plan on the vault.

There's other 14ers you know ;p (58 in CO where I live, 12 in CA). Admittedly I hike the same mountain behind my home about 20 times a year, but after pictures of the lines at Mt Everest surfaced and "commoditized mountain conquering" became a thing, I stick to home.
I also do not plan to vault camp in the CT as the dimensions mentioned do not fit me without feeling like I've been buried alive. The Kim Java experiment gave me claustrophobia.
