It is also possible that there is a differential in what the CyberTruck battery brain is requesting for charge rate or pulsing for a specific reason due to the larger surface area of the battery compared to the model s. One would have to watch this over the entire charge cycle. Pulse charge of battery to create small sharp transients may help kick the ions a bit to facilitate higher currents. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5521994/
I might just log hour on hour real charge rate throughout a whole charging session.

Do we actually know that the amps shown in the app are the amps being accepted by the vehicle? Because it could just be that we are seeing the vehicle has determined it CAN draw 48A, not that it IS drawing 48A. Would require some measuring to know for sure what's happening.

Even if it were a fluctuation, it's not concerning.

The mph is based upon the Wh per mile and the remainder power after all other loads.

The charger always is fluctuating, we just usually don't see it because the software tries to take a long enough sample so the display isn't noisy.

Balancing a noisy display against getting feedback from adding load to the truck (like turning AC on or off) is a tough trick.

IMO, we should blow this off and make so light of it because it is accurate and consistent with the other Tesla cars. Good on them for bring this 'bug' up and not just ignoring and blowing it off.

It doesn't seem like this charging is unique since they are all doing 400v at this time (ie. CT is not doing 800v anywhere).
