The lid is just misaligned and whompy on this unit. In the Elle video, the *this* passenger side of the frunk near the window isn’t popped up like on the driver side

All that misalignment *should* just be a matter of normal course alignment adjustments

With some manufacturers, those alignment adjustments are even left to the dealerships responsibility of setup before delivery
That said, I finally got a chance to watch the Ellie in Space (or whomever) video, on my monitor and that unit is a fit-and-finish mess all over. strong assumption it's merely a prototype level of issue.

i also don't think that unit is running 3mm SS at its quarterpanels, or possibly anywhere other than the doors. watching the video, you can notice a distinct difference in the coloration of the doors vs the remaining body panels - with the doors having more of a bronze hue (see first two photos below for an indicative compare)

I also noticed a moment when a door was lightly flung shut, and while it's best viewed in the video, at impact the entire door flexed inboard before rebounding back out to where it's supposed to sit. First photo below is the best capture i could get of the door at the inward flexed position, with the second photo below showing how the seam appears after rebounding

But in all, reemphasizing that these are likely only indicative of the prototype and not the intended fit-and-finish of a production unit, some photos i wont spend more time pointing out uneven gaps or other floppy giblets - not to mention panels that do not appear to be 3mm

Lens Distortion:
dis-1.jpg
Specifically, barrel distortion from a wide-angle lens, amplified by perspective distortion.

No need to get in to why cameras used at crash testing facilities dont use wide angle lenses, and otherwise anticipate/correct for perspective distortion at the distance of the subject vehicle being measured using among other things appropriate focal lengths, so how about we just wrap this misunderstanding up instead with this shot:

If they didn’t carry any shovels in the frunk then they very likely don’t fit
Nah, I wouldn't go THAT far. It's not the reason anyway. At least not what I'd say.

That frunk is not lined up right, and probably doesn't have a liner in it if I had to guess.

I’m curious what people actually think about the rack… to me it is not the direction I thought it would go. Hoping there is another iteration by the time deliveries start…

or it got stuck trying to open it so they decided to build a whole rack for two shovels.

I suspect this rack was built solely for the groundbreaking ceremony. A useful rack needs to have vertical projections to keep pipe and ladders, and other such sundries from falling off the sides.

Not to sound like I am fixated on this or anything but does this rear end look a lot better than the original or I am imagining things? It looks like the height of the metal part has been reduced. If so, I have no idea how long ago. I am just noticing it and like it a lot.

def seems to be less distance between the top of the fender flair and the midwaist bend line.

Or it could be lens distortion....

‘We may need the chicken man to settle this for us. Hopefully he won’t use distorted chickens.
