No word on winches. A frunk mounted winch would be pretty cool. Just have to add a slot for the cable to feed out the front. Another possible stealth location, under the floor of the bed.

I always thought people who got winches wanted them outside of the vehicle so they could illustrate their off-road cred when they are driving around town. If you had a winch in your frunk, nobody would know you have a bad-ass winch-capable off-roader. It’s right up there with brush guards, Jerry cans, and giant over-sized jacks for properly establishing offroad cred.
I am banking on the aftermarket brush guard with winch combo and accessorize it with SS-wrapped razor wire for zombie protesters in the streets.

What I want to know if is I can buy a spare insert and fix up one as a mobile toolbox that I can just swap out. Otherwise I just want to know if it has enough space to keep full sized toolbags in it for field work.

Seems to me the preferred measure for all auto marketing departments. Which means it’s a pretty unlikely thing for Tesla.
Fun fact: John DeLorean insisted that his car be able to transport two sets of golf bags, or they wouldn't be able to sell them to executives. I can confirm that the shelf behind the seats will accommodate two golf bags.

Fortunately, there is no place to put a hard-sided suitcase, so I can avoid having to pick up anyone at the airport. Once I'm a CyberTruck owner, however, I'm going to need an excuse to avoid helping people move ("It's illegal to transport furniture in electric vehicles, I swear")

You might test this one:

“The car got mad at me last time I helped someone move and every time I got in, FSD took me to my mother-in-laws house.” (Insert annoying relative of your choice here)

The sail pillars are just the right size to store a fireman’s axe, a chainsaw, 3 baseball bats, and a double barreled shotgun.

You load up the vault with emergency rations you loot from the house of your prepper buddy who didn’t think to stockpile water.

How about "FSD won't let me go to your house"

I'm sure there will be a "frunk" but at this point I have to give the advantage to the Lightning and the Hummer. The reason I say this is their GRILL and HOOD come up giving a nice low access point (waist high maybe?) and the CT appears to only have a hood that will come up.

I really like how the Lightning and Hummer raise the grill with the hood giving you a nice low access as opposed to a grill to reach over.

This thread got me to looking closer at the frunks and I like that feature too. Much easier access and less chance of scraping something heavy across the truck when loading/unloading the frunk.

The Cybertruck doesn't have a grill to raise, so it's not much higher.

You must be looking at a different truck.

Because the CT most definitely has a "grill" that you have to lift things over, to put stuff in the frunk, and said grill is only 2" lower than a Ford hood. Its also just as wide.

As for aero you obviously choose not to want to understand how it works, and that the cross section area is NOT the front of the vehicle, so its size is irrelevant if its smaller than the largest section which is further back in the cab area.

I have a folding step stool that I carried in the Ram for getting into the bed easier. Now I’ll justuse it for the frunk. ?

or maybe the CT will kneel down for you?

I think the CT's standard drive configuration will be as low as it can anyway to reduce drag and increase range. But it might go down another 2" when you pop the frunk.

Tesla Cybertruck Cybertruck Frunk 1627868176956

Took a front shot of the Cybertruck and the F150. Pasted the CT on top and scaled them to the same wheel base.

Tell me again how the “Grill Areas” are the same?
