If a McDonald's employee was wrong about orders at the same rate that Jim Cramer is wrong about markets, they would have been fired years ago.
hey even a chimpanzee banging away randomly on typewriter will sometimes write something.

Cant possibly bring Fords price up for comparison. It is a runout model, it is losing money, and sales have slowed.

There is Nada, zilch, zero insight into Fords actual sell price if mass produced at profit. It could be even lower. We have NFI.

Just a little reminder to everyone to please pray for ( or Ouiga board) a CAD price of 59,990 for the single motor and CAD 69,990 for dual for us to get our ZEV credit in Canada. You only need to sell one single motor at that price. USD conversion is Single USD 45K and Dual USD 52,600. Thanks everyone. Ford Lightning now appears to be able to get this credit with their standard range pro and xlt at CAD 59,990 and 69,990.

Unhappy with Fords -82% BEV profit margin Farley doubles down and says, lets make it an even 100%. Good job Jimmy, that's leadership!
if the object of the lightning project is to gather enough data on electric car performance and construction so that the NEXT class is a profitable model.. he has to adjust the price till he has a large enough volume in the wild to get data from.

Maybe that’s also why Tesla kept prices low during its first 18 years of losing money on every car it sold

My Bold prediction;

Dual Motor $39,900
Tri-Motor $49,900

Even the most die hard Tesla haters will not be able to refuse the offer.
All of the lost truck sales for Ford and GM will be catastrophic for them...Game over.
I’m thinking

Dual Motor $60K-$70K
Tri Motor $80K-$90K

Down $10,000 from my original estimates. I find it interesting that they’re potentially launching with the Dual Motor (350 mile range?) over the Tri Motor. Probably trying to cut costs in hopes that in the future the 4680s will be more energy dense. It’s quite the balancing act.

Most likely starting with a lower range model to be able to produce more trucks with less batteries to start.
This will be the reverse of how new Tesla vehicle rollouts usually go and will see the entry level truck first.
This will be shock and awe type of move for Tesla, as all of the other EV makers will not be able to compete on price or features.
I think Elon has been purposely underestimating production estimates publicly like a skilled tactician.
Once traditionally "anti-Tesla truck people" get to see the Cybertruck in real life, years of Detroit brand loyalty will fall by the wayside.
I could be wrong?

I don't think the single motor CT will ever be made.
Tesla drive units are way less expensive to produce now than back in 2019 by a significant margin, so the dual motor CT becomes the entry level model at the price of the single motor CT...At least that's what the tea leaves are telling me, but I could be wrong?

I wouldn’t be surprised if they release with 350 miles and then after launch they have a software update that extends the range to nearly 400. Like they’ve done in the past.

That would be something. Ford is clearly shitting their pants by reducing the price of the Lightning, even though they’re losing money either way.
