There’s a tiny panel gap by the headlight, hope they flesh that one out.
Just use a prybar and even it out. What could happen to it, chip paint? NOPE! Cause it to rust? NOPE!

The "Y"? What's to note?
Maybe someone more familiar can chime in

I don’t *think* this is the tail end of either a 3 or Y, based on those taillights (downward slope)

I suppose it could just be a model S, which has those downward slope taillights - but does that sedan seem as low and long as an S?

For anyone else who loves the shot angle of Elon's posted image but could do without the Model S backdrop:

Odd color difference.

Just for s#!ts n' giggles — what would y'all think of an 8-piece (4 pcs. per side) rubberized door protector set that would adhere to the door panels, visually breaking up the expansive stainless steel sides of the CT?

Btw, the "protection" would not be for the doors so much as for whatever it is the doors might make contact with! ?

cybertruck_06.jpg
Just not sure what we would be protecting it from?

the doors have long appeared different in color from the adjacent quarterpanels

it's one of the few visual indications that for me goes in the bucket of "maybe only the doors are 3mm"

that bucket has several other items weighing for it, but these color differences suggest something different between panels

I think its just. a bad mix of the filter elon or whoever applied and the difference in cloud coverage/reflections. The non-filtered image colors look pretty much the same

I dunno, man

I’ve noticed it best in videos, in sunlight

acertain angles and reflections, there is a warmer hue to the doors than the quarterpanels

What if not only is it the doors that are 3mm, but also they use a different alloy/hardening process, which slightly alters either the appearance all the time, or the appearance over time

ever since I realized there’s actually no clear assertion from Tesla that the whole truck is the same thickness/alloy, I’m more open to all sorts of conjecture ?

That first pic does show it pretty well.

Idk, totally possible that they have different thicknesses or processes tho.

Another photo posted by Musk overnight:

Elon Musk driving Cybertruck.jpeg

So I think that's a Model S plaid in the back and is a hint that the cybertruck production candidate is the plaid (Tri motor with medium sized pack.... just like a Quad motor "large pack" R1T). That is Elon's Cybertruck. He will help market the smaller pack as the plaid. Traditional media is going to try and rip Tesla for not launching with a 500 mile truck.
