How much to ship the extra to me?

I have heard that from allot of folks. I tried about 10 diff locations and all are good. I have a 1900 range late feb VIN. Wonder why mine is different.

Just got this email. I have had zero issues with current one. Works in every location in the bed and latches perfect.

Thanks for the picture! That's the dream right there! I can't get it to fit there. It's either over the underneath storage, or all the way at the front of the truck bed. What you have is the perfect config. Congrats! Hoping the new version somehow works there...

Key point…do not force the latch mechanism down to lock it in place or you risk bending the whole mechanism…in theory it’s designed to fit into both sides of the L-track and smoothly lock in.

So it’s likely that I have the one that needs to be replaced.
I’ll be able to check tomorrow.
My guess is that they are replacing them for people that already have their trucks first. I ordered in March, but still have not received my vin yet.

hopefully this helps those of us who can't get it to fit everywhere in the bed. Mine only fits on top of the under bed storage. It doesn't fit a single other position in the entire length of the bed.
Same here. I’m taking the side panels off to try and understand what’s wrong.

Mine was shipped 3/26 and has round ends. Fits well in all slots. Hopefully this fix will help everyone that’s having issues.

Got same email, didn’t open original box yet and they sending me another. Is it possible to use 2 at the same time ?
Yea, my wife said that we should divide our truck bed into thirds. Don’t think we would need to do that though.

Put in a Tesla Shop support ticket on Friday. They asked for a video demonstrating my concern this morning, so sent them in clips of me showing the divider not working basically for the middle 40% of the vault.

UPDATE: No dice. They said schedule a service center appointment. No replacement. They are calling that period (Late Mar/early Apr) of selling and shipping out the VCD a “bad batch”. Not exactly sure I buy that, but whatever.

UPDATE 2: Not sure if related to my request / complaining but now I just got the email saying a replacement will be sent. Being a Karen DOES work!
