I post Cybertruck stuff on the Internet and people like it.

None of these pictures negates the possibility of a rear display. It's built into the rear of the center console and wouldn't be viewable exept from the rear.
There's reasonable viewing angle with the display, which would show some indication, and there's no appearance of a glossy bezel.

Just sharing what I perceive.

too bad the center console doesn't flip back to add an extra seat, however I guess you need a permanent console for storage and this way the seats will be more comfortable and better fitting than a bench.

I guess they discussed the pros and cons after the initial presentation and came to the concusion that families of 6 are pretty rare these days. Good thing my 4 kids are grown up and have their own rides lol.
With FSD, just buy 2 CTs and set FSD to convoy mode.

What do you mean "no rear display"? I went to the Twitter feed and saw nothing but discussion about the rear-view mirror and no display behind the steering wheel ... nothing about a display in the back.

It is unfortunate that they dropped the display behind the steering wheel idea. I like it on the X and was kind of hoping for one because I HATE looking over at the monitor.

I do not see how they can have a powered tonneau and not have a camera-based rear view 'mirror'. And even if the tonneau is open the view through the rear window would be inadequate for a truck. So I suspect that you are wrong if you were talking about the rearview 'mirror' not being a display. It was a display in the unveiling and Tesla never said it was changing.

What is also sad and unfortunate (and will maybe be an option - though Tesla doesn't really do options) would be side-view monitors. Those A-Pillars are large enough for monitors.
Pretty sure he meant "No display for the rear passengers to adjust AC controls from back there".

The rear screen we had seen on a previous prototype looks like the rear display was on top of the center console.

However, I am not doubting anything until someone can actually take a photo of the "elusive" backseat. :)

Edit: It looks like the rear screen could swivel down and be located behind the center console, which will not be visible in any photos we have seen lately. I do like the swivel feature because if it was stuck in the up position, my dogs would destroy it in no time jumping from the back seat to front seat.

That's fair. I didn't think the bezels would be visible in any of the pictures:

Yea, none of that.

I’m talking about the backseat display. At investor day there was a display in the back seats. That doesn’t appear to be on this one.

I’m pretty confident the rearview mirror display is there.
Ok, that is what the other person was asking about and I do not recall seeing pics of the back seat from the Franz/Petersen even on Sunday (either).

Perception is not fact and I would venture to say that anything but a pic of the back seat area isn’t perception but speculation.

Every time I see interior shots of the CT, two things always stand out to me:

1) The floor pan in front of the center console, and the hanging wires/yellow buttons/switches beneath the screen. This area is clearly "under construction" in every CT we've seen so far. So I assume it could look much different when the final production version is released. What will be featured there? I also wonder if this space allows the center console to flip forward and down. Which wouldn't make much sense. More likely there will be something there that we haven't seen yet.

2) The massive windshield dash dead space is starting to look softer and more acceptable. But it's still way too big to just have nothing in it. That space is screaming to be filled with something unique, high-tech, alien. Like a hologram or something. I have to say I'll be disappointed if it just remains dead space in the final release.

My hunch is that we will see interesting developments in one or both of those spaces.

One could fill it with a horde of thematic figurines till hologram options become a thing.

In the mean time, one could go back to this old thread and see other hologram ideas for the dash. Oh the level of excitement that we had back then. It is only now just starting to get back to that level of enthusiasm around here.

Not at the Petersen, but there were some pics of the rear seat that showed a display.
