Mine is at service center right now and estimate is for $0 and I have 37k miles on it so it must be under warranty. I pick up on Tuesday per app.
Mine was just replaced
All of a sudden noticed even with a long preconditioning I was only seeing at best 110kw

now with it fixed, 325 kw max

Can’t wait the 500 kw superchargers to be more places

I also use the Delray location, which is where we took delivery in March. Did you lose tint because you had tinted the glass yourself, or do you have a ‘25 with the new OEM factory tint? If so, I would ask for the correct glass. Florida sun and all that…
I had it tinted. Added IR Max 50 to factory roof-glass at AWT in Boynton, which cut IR by around 98%. Tesla said they could not replace the tint or credit.

So basically cant even supercharge if this goes out?
In some cases people have been able to charge. I guess this lends more to the idea they may be failing in different ways

More like get it fixed now under warranty, and later out of pocket. From my understanding there is no updated PCS, so it is just a replacement.
I think if something fails and its replaced under warranty and fails again, it still falls under a warranty repair. Im sure if its lik 15 years later they wouldn't but if it fails a year or 2 later, or 10,000 miles later id think there would be a pretty good reason to ask for it

Anecdotally, I did get a weird notification from the Tesla app in the middle of the day last week that said something about Powershare unavailable. Then it resolved itself. (There was no power outage in the area, or at my house, so it was out of the blue). I thought we had some sort of power brownout or something and didn't think anything of it.

Now I'm wondering if it was an early warning sign of PCS failure. Interesting.

I will also say that my service center (Fife, WA) usually makes me wait a few weeks to schedule something. This time, when I requested service in the app, they showed available appts starting within 2 days of the request. I wonder if they prioritize PCS issues, knowing the possibility of the truck becoming undriveable.
Tesla can do remote diagnostics. Usually they run a high voltage test for charging issues and a low voltage test for other issues like lights or doors. Worth asking. They may charge you for it without clear findings

Well, I think I'm about to join the club. Last few days, all of sudden the truck won't go above 24amps. I have multiple chargers and they all doing the same, but 2023 MY is fine. Should I bother doing a test with supercharger or just setup a service call. No errors of any kind in the app or truck.

That’s IF you’re still in the warranty period. My PCS failed May 2025 @ 22K. I am currently at 38K

From my research it looks like Tesla is only covering this under Basic Warranty 50k, which is concerning.

Correct. Whats even more wild is that since September 2025, Tesla now includes a 7 year/70k mile “high priced propulsion parts” warranty that includes the PCS on EVERY OTHER VEHICLE 2026+ EXCEPT FOR THE CT.

My 24 had under 800 mi when it failed this month. Considering Tesla won’t cover past basic warranty and will not offer extended coverage option like other models I likely won’t get another cybertruck after this.

Mine started with limit to 24 amps and within about 48 hours no home charging or supercharging possible so it is in service center now. Go ahead and request service and try to get it asap.

How much is this outside of warranty?
Might not be worth to keep this truck after 50k if i have to pay to replace it yearly

The highest out of pocket price ive seen is around $7600. Others have reported less. This is not a component that is supposed to fail. It is not supposed to “wear out”. Its failing either because it was defectively manufactured (more likely) or defectively engineered.
