This should play right when he says it..."We are still expected to be in production with the Cybertruck in the middle of next year..."
I have a 1st day order on a F150 Lightning also. Talk about a mess. Ford will let the dealers prioritize orders so many 1st day orders are still waiting while someone who placed an order 2 months later was on 1st wave of orders for the 2022's. My reservation is one of the lower numbers and I bet Ford is going to jack this around for the 2023's also. I bet I will not get the opportunity to order a 2023 when I should have been one of the 1st to order a 22.Didnt he say "We’re hoping to start delivery the middle of next year,”....Yeah at this point its like my mom used to say, hope in one hand and shit in the other and see which fills up first...this is getting sooooooo fucking old at this point.
Oh no, not the hoping in a month or two again quote.Didnt he say "We’re hoping to start delivery the middle of next year,”....Yeah at this point its like my mom used to say, hope in one hand and shit in the other and see which fills up first...this is getting sooooooo fucking old at this point.
Historically, Tesla has never built vehicles and then sat on them. They deliver within a couple of weeks of manufacturing.I admit I haven’t listened to the call, but Teslarati are reporting that Elon stated production would begin mid-2023, not deliveries.

Hmm I think Elon could have come up with a better reference than Grade C. I would have gone with Gen 1. By the time I get my CT I hope we are actually seeing Gen 3 4680s with real improvements to density at the cell level with better durability.
- 4680 cells are being produced and they have had a test deployment to Model Y out of Austin (the Grade C version as Elon described it) to learn from. The internal lines are being improved and challenges addressed. That design will be iterated on per Musk with the Cybertruck likely have more of a Grade B version when it launches. Also, it should be noted that outside vendors will also be producing 4680 cells at some point.
I bet those grapes are sour.I don't know about you guys but you definitely don't want the very first iterations of the CT. I would definitely want prob the CT that's about 1 year or more into production anyways. There's going to be a lot of bugs in the first round for sure and they will definitely be implementing design changes for the better.
Makes me feel better that I'm no way near the front of the pack even with a tri motor order. Eases the mind but would still be jealous watching them get built and delivered next year.I bet those grapes are sour.
I'd take the shitty prototype lolMakes me feel better that I'm no way near the front of the pack even with a tri motor order. Eases the mind but would still be jealous watching them get built and delivered next year.
Long before that, in the intro:Official Tesla Q2 Transcript later in the call:
Martin Viecha
Thank you very much. And the last question is, when will the Cybertruck be officially available?
Elon Musk -- Chief Executive Officer and Product Architect
We're hoping to start delivering them in the middle of next year.
Delivering.
