the mid window being able to open, i thought was already known, midgate would require the design of the back cover to be changed... doesnt look like it will

It would not require a change to the design of the cover. The cover is on a track which would not care if there was a gate or not.

But this video doesn't show a mid gate but it does show a lack of rear window which means it's either open or missing, the former of which would be cool.

You guys have amazing eyesight and/or powers of imagination. I cannot see a driver display or a midgate in this video when shown on a 27" monitor. I wish I could see these things but I don't. And it is definitely footage from the CyberRodeo. Lets try to find some recent footage, eh? The newer prototypes must be getting shown 'somewhere'

Go to the 29 to 31 second mark and look above the steering yoke. That is the driving display.

It's stored below. On a track. With curves in it above. It doesn't care if it's bent, it doesn't care if its track is interrupted (you couldn't open or close it without making sure the midgate was clear closed anyhow)

On the mega blocks Cybertruck that had enough room for tools and is extra hidden storage. The mega blocks may not be perfectly accurate, but it couldn't fit a spare I don't think. I hope the real one can though.
