I was interested in Elon's comments about not removing weight if it provides function. The comment about cutting off your arm to save 17 pounds. Ramp is the first thing that came to mind. Idk if the weight of the bulletproof stainless doors can be justified but I'm still hoping they kept it.

Also interesting that they, in a previous earnings call, said that they could reduce the thickness of castings because they didn't break enough during crash testing.

Yes, just like 4680 Model Ys. Employees first. It’s like an extended beta test. It’s how Tesla figured out that the 4680’s were no more energy dense than the 2170’s. They’ve improved them now for the CT.

Will Tesla do the same thing Chevrolet did with the Corvette Z06 and not allow people to flip them until 6 months? Also, who wants to be the first group of owners of a totally new vehicle? It is not like there is a Tesla repair station in every large city and we all know Tesla's track record for customer service.

I think you should have to sign something that says you won’t sell it for a year. I hate scalpers.

FINALLY!!!!!!! Tesla will release the Kraken on November 30th.

4 years to design, engineer hardware/software, get a two huge Giga presses in operation, tool up a factory and validate every system on a clean sheet of paper vehicle design is incredibly fast. It would have taken the Big 3 six or eight years to accomplish the same task. Congrats to the entire Cybertruck development team.

As I have said before, affordability will help make the Cybertruck a true success story instead of a $100k+ truck for the wealthy.

Elon’s comments today were very vague about price. He talked about it being very hard to make the CT profitably (he ‘was’ speaking at a quarterly report meeting after all), but steered clear of any link to end-user pricing. We will likely know in about 6 weeks.

Also.... Cybertruck production remains on track for later this year, with first deliveries scheduled for November 30th at Giga Texas!!
