PCS Failure - Can’t charge at all

interesting. Wonder why? I guess after failure then it might not supercharge.

The PCS is not directly involved with DCFC, but there’s only 2 charge pins on the NACS connector. So both AC and DC charge circuits are tied together.

True, though the ACJB sits between the PCS and the ring terminal connection to the Supercharging (PCS bypass) solenoid. So it is normally isolated.
The High Voltage Controller may also have failed, or the PCS failure is preventing the HVC from allowing fast charging.

SoC at 0% is not zero volts. There’s still quite a bit of power in the tank at 0%.

Lithium cells are very happy at low SoC, but very sad if completely discharged.

It's dropping rapidly it seems all by itself

It's awake so it will lose charge. It also got warmer which is why it reads 2% with ~7% in the pack.

I joined the failed PCS club today. Just for reference I have a 10/2024 post-FS build (VIN 413XX) 28.7K miles. I've always charged at home with the mobile charger that came with my 2019 Model 3 and it would fail periodically but unplugging/plugging in again would reset and it would charge. I'm in Austin but appointment is for 3/9. Attempted to supercharge this evening and no love there either so messaged service to see if I can get in sooner. If I don't hear back I'll just drop in.

I think they are full of shit when they say they have specific VINs that are flagged. I'm 463XX. They are just hoping most will coast through warranty.

Like the title of this thread says, "PCS Failure- Can't charge at all" I wasn't kidding when I said I couldn't charge at all. It's interesting that the SC keep telling us to go to the supercharger. Like we haven't done that... I think the important thing here is to make enough noise about this issue so that they will recall and or put this issue under longer warranty so that we can be covered longer and hopefully they can have a proper fix. So, even though you get this fixed under warranty, make sure to complain to the service manager, file a report to NHTSA, X, and anyone else that'll make a difference.
This is such a chicken shit way of fixing a problem that Tesla made. I'm so disappointed in their customer service with this.

That’s why i canceled my previous service appointment when the PCS errors cleared, not at all confident they have a true fix.

Any idea on if Tesla has a true fix/better part? Mine is showing early signs of failing I think? It randomly will stop charging and I have to unplug/replug. Superchargers randomly drop to near 0 speed for a minute or two and then shoot back up. Yesterday I was limited to 35/48 amps charging but when i tried later in the day it was back to 48/48 amps. Not sure if I schedule a service appointment or ride it out another few weeks to see if it continues and if there's a better replacement part.
