I have to say first off that I love the idea of the truck and have talked with numerous people that have had little to no issues with there truck.

I have had the truck since March of 24 and it had spent 2 months in the shop before I had it 8 months. Looks like I just got a lemon, and Tesla is buying it back next week.

I had an early Model S and was prepared for issues, just thought that they would be able to fix them. Not this time.

You all that don't have issue, enjoy!

I am. I have a 2024 AWD. I’m an informatics guy. I hear a lot of complaints on this forum about issues and I wanted to know the truth. Read my other posts. I’m m not sure why a few of you suspect there is ill intent everywhere about the CT. I don’t work for some media company and have no ulterior motives. I like to see summary data. Polls work that way.

I’m curious about everyone’s experience with Cybertruck reliability. Please vote and share your mileage to help us understand how these trucks are holding up!
FSCB - delivered July 27 2024 - going in next week for light bar install and first time service.... rotate tires, check a few items, lightbar. I've been taking it off road all the time. Wrapped it and Installed wheel spacers (1.25") 2 inch lift for front only. Approaching 9k miles. FSD working great and I use it 90% of the time. Never "launched" it yet. Not issues. I've driven GM and Ford Trucks 4x4's, AWD's, suburbans, etc. all my life and LOVE this BEAST.

In terms of drivetrain, mine has been flawless as I approach 14k miles on my AWD Founders. But I do have some issues, aside from the recall most (or all?) of us have to do with the cant trails, I also need to get 3 of my 4 doors replaced because of the delamination.

I also have the vibration issue at 70, that gets worse when pushing 80 mph, which I assume is likely foam separation in the tire. I just haven’t had a chance to get it checked out yet, but overall I haven’t had any major issues.

I’ve always had the mindset that I don’t care if there’s early adopter issues with the truck, as long as Tesla does the right thing and repairs them for free and gives me a loaner, then I’m a happy customer. And so far they have.

I think your list of poll options shows the difference in expectations that frame how people's feelings differ about their experience. In just under a year of ownership, I've had one service center visit (tonneau slat refit and cable harness guide) and one mobile service visit (folding mirror issue).

By your poll, that fits into the Moderately Reliable category, but I would consider that extremely reliable. Neither instance required a tow and the vehicle was usable until service was available. In 20 years of BMW ownership, I was in and out of the dealership for work and still wouldn't have rated any of those vehicles as moderately reliable or worse.

I see some of the complaints about service here and in other Tesla forums and seriously wonder if these people have owned cars before.

Installed latest update and right after i did I got reduced power message. Already had an appointment for trim adjustment so service added the power issue. Last known is they are waiting for parts. inverter?
I think the timing was just coincidence.

TURNED OUT TO BE A FAULTY OIL PUMP. DAY AND A HALF AND TRUCK IS BACK.
I would say over all that it is reliable since I have had it on some pretty rough trails.

About 7500 miles. A few things have been an issue. Noting big. Easily dealt with by service center. Still loving it. And still fewer issues than my 2020 Mercedes GLE350.

Steering column scraped steering wheel.
Cover for side of passenger chair broke off
Windows lost calibration slightly, creating wind noise
Drivers window switch broke off.

Going to my first service appointment next week after a year of ownership. Warranty work replacing wiper motor and vault sail cantrail recalls, though, I haven't had any problems with the wiper function or the sail cantrails coming loose. Tire rotation at 9,000 miles since delivery on 4/20/24. Pick-up my CyberWheel Covers, but, after a year without they will just go in the closet. Change the wiper blade and fill the wiper fluid. Already told it will cost $65 for tire rotation. My experience has been exceptional since taking delivery. In the beginning I loved it without FSD. Seemed like a brand new vehicle finally getting the first 12.0 version of FSD months later, along with other features through software updates. Currently, 007 is the safest, most technologically advanced vehicle on the road. A marvel of stainless steel, robotics, and AI enhanced software. Today I had kids stopping in front of my CyberTruck for their mother to take a photo of them with it. A grown man was walking around it taking photos on the sidewalk. 007 is still a celebrity on a daily basis after a year in town. Whether the public loves or hates my CyberTruck, I know it is absolutely the most advanced, reliable, and amazing vehicle you can currently own. Driving an ICE vehicle now feels like driving a stick shift, dump truck. I wake up each morning looking forward to riding in 007 to work. I've never had a vehicle that makes me this excited to own it.

Yeah... you know what I hate? it ruins other vehicles steering systems for you...

Tesla ruined the acceleration game, the ease to drive game (one pedal driving) and now the steering...

What comes next Tesla???

The mapping of reliability with service visits didn't quite fit for me. Yes, I've had service visits, but it's been for trivial things like wiper motor recall and a fix for a rattle. For me, I would say my truck has been completely reliable and has been to the service center - because I wanted to and not because I needed to.

I'm going in for my first visit end of this month. Just recalls and a couple squeaks.

Just over 1 year and 6.5k miles.

FSD has had some glitches and I've had to reboot the system once or twice, but literally nothing has broken.

Dumb poll.

The answers go from "Perfect reliability, no issues whatsoever" to "Mostly Reliable, Minor cosmetic issues" not requiring service visits.

So is this a reliability poll or asking how perfect everything was cosmetically? If you really want to know about reliability, the questions would be graduations of how often it couldn't be driven.

It makes any intelligent observer wonder whether you know what you're doing or are simply trying to confuse newbies with regard to how reliable the Cybertruck has actually been.
I agree, the CT is the first model year for a new vehicle type - there will be issues. You could add 'Unresolved issues', etc.

Thank you for this post/poll. I've been really concerned about the reliability and problem history of the CT but clearly (unless one gets a problem truck) it is not an issue. I suspect that the same question for a MY (what I own) or pretty much any other car in general might yield similar results.

12000 miles and one year in (Picked Up FS CT May 11, 2024)
So far;
1. Service Center finally fixed my inter active air suspension (air suspension error messages) - replaced the whole compressor after 3 Service Center appointments.
2. Replaced the Wiper motors (Recall). Ever since then, The wiper wipes dry at random times, the wiper arm parks a few inches off its sides and is annoying to see. Still an ongoing concern for me. I have an upcoming appointment for this wiper (May 30), this will be the third appt. on this issue. Hopefully they fix it this time.
In my opinion, the whole wiper mechanism needs to be re-designed from the ground up.
3. They have replaced the Tonneau applique (plastic top sides)(Recall). No issues after replacement.
4. My CT completely died on a failed software update.
This was an excruciating experience - called the Service help 3 times and everytime they were saying it needed to be towed. Tried with the key card, tried resetting by pressing the steering buttons simultaneously, tried almost anything to no avail.
Out of frustration, I googled it, I pulled out the Jumper cords/cables located under the left front fender to "resuscitate" it- Using a portable battery. Then it came alive and the display lit up. After a while,Tow truck came but it cannot be towed due to "Tow Mode" greyed out or not available. Called the Service Center again, the service tech re-installed the software update and finally it completed and was successful - it was fixed remotely! Back to normal!
5. Got rear ended (left rear bumper). Tesla Collision Center got it repaired. Getting an appointment in Tesla Collision is hard (maybe because they are so busy everytime?) and the whole repair process was complex. It took about more than a month to get it fixed.

Other than those above. The FSD, Steer by wire, 4 wheel steering, long range battery and fast super charging and comfortable ride makes this truck a blast(joy) to drive.
