Look at the titles. Many of them are for managerial and engineering positions, not GA workers.
Did you go back and look at all 100 positions posted back in April/May, or just the 18 shown in Sawyer's tweet?

They started hiring back on March 9th, tons of positions including the generic "process technician - cybertruck" job.

It's gonna happen quick.

Maybe that isn't duct tape. Maybe it's giant, tamper-indicating security tape, put on to make sure they know if anyone has opened a frunk and taken a bunch of hi-rez photos. That might not be able to keep the cat in the frunk (er...bag), but at least they'd know if it was let out!
But no similar tape on doors, tailgate, etc?

seems odd

They're transferring existing GA-MY workers over.

One entry for GA worker would imo account for 5000 hirings, whereas the Engineer is headhunted for specific skill sets.

I am only guessing, but that seems reasonable to me, otherwise, do we list 5000 separate positions with only tasks being different.

Meanwhile, can you ask your sources why they’re consistently having to duct tape the hoods shut?

they’ve done this on basically all the transport units (different methods used, but almost all of them taped shit one way or another)

Would you rather they tape the Tonneau cover?

Doesn't build confidence that our hoods will remain in down position when we hit 70 plus, does it?

I hear your reasoning and come to a very different conclusion. Seriously, I’ve got zero worries my frunk will stay down at max speed.

Pretty great how they are ramping up. I think the quality of the look of the SS will be an issue.

Funny stat: What do the numbers: 1780 and 5445 mean?

1780 = 650000/365 -- DAILY produced Ford F-series
5445 = 1987524/365 -- DAILY produced All pickup trucks

Is that U.S. only or worldwide?

Does the "DAILY produced All pickup trucks" include compact pickups ( like Ford Maverick, Ram Rampage, Hyundai Santa Cruz, Toyota Stout, Kia Compact Truck, etc) and mid-size pickups ( like Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado, etc)?

I can see many mid-size ICE buyers upgrading to a full-size Cybertruck but it seems like it would be a really big step for compact pickup buyers to go up to full-size.
