Minute 10: "They're saying the steering wheel folds away for autonomous driving."

...wait, what now? :ROFLMAO:
It’s a concept vehicle. Doesn’t have to be features they can actually deliver. It’s just a wish list built in 3d.

Hah! Those are all great ideas. Except the fact that Waymo is nowhere near being able to achieve this in an unfenced setting. And it requires a huge computing system in the trunk and a giant lidar on the roof. Neither of which this truck comes equipped with.

Not sure why but I was just thinking it was to make your work truck an easier mobile office. Seems too extreme to really be implemented.
Ford does this mobile office with this collapsible gear shifter and then large platform.

I thought it was cool and had lots of nice features. Whether it comes out is not my concern, but I do hope that Tesla pays attention to all these features.
Ooohhh, I got it now!
Tesla was waiting for RAM to see what else they could add to CT......
What I really like is the following:
- sliding seats
- midgate
- barn-style tailgate
- controls on the "ceiling" glass
- frunk opening (just a design when you open it with the "headlights up" and still have headlights)
- mirrors
- cabin flat floor!!! (this is huge!)
- Four Wheel Steering (not necessary but nice to have)

and so on.....
To be honest, I do not need/want a super fancy glass roof.

Would like to have the following:
- Range 500+ mi
- Battery less than 200KW
- MORE STORAGE inside the cabin

These would be nice features. Though if Tesla does the ramp, it’ll be just as useful as the barn door tailgate. Tesla already said 4WS is coming though.

Probably the 1 “Killer” feature which Tesla is uniquely situated to deliver is adding 200+ miles of range in 15 minutes. Ford, Rivian, Hummer all take forever to charge 45 Minutes or more. If Cybertruck can add 200 miles in 15 minutes (very likely) none of these other features matter.

Ram quoted some number for charging speed… but it was for their truck powered on solid state storage which likely won’t be commercially viable for at least 5 years.

The rails are a fairly neat feature for a princess truck. I am not so sure I want mud, rocks and dirt getting crammed in that rail system in a work truck. Now in the bed its a bit different because plugged up rails are not part of the function of movement of critical pieces such as seats. Your mainly using the rail system for configurable tie downs (mostly). Looks like the 2' tall battery pack adds an additional step into the truck to get into the seated position.

Maybe its just me but the entire seating position looks more like a sedan where there is a deeper lean than in a upright normal truck position? I am assuming if this is indeed true it would be due to the 3' tall battery pack....

I will say lack of a B-Pillar looks like a Ford type lawsuit just waiting to happen. There could be some magic in there that prevents full roof collapse in a rollover but I would be a bit worried with the weight of that 4' tall battery pack smashing down on me.

Did I mention the 5' tall battery pack?

My favorite line is, "Entire Ram lineup will offer electrified solutions with disruptive, leading-edge advanced technology in the years to come."

Oh yes, here's a pretty picture, but WAIT THERE'S MORE; we're gonna throw words that we associate with Tesla at you now,.. brace yourself.

I hope Tesla will start delivering CT this year, although I do not believe even a single word Musk says. Last time he said he would get his betta in a couple of weeks. No one has ever seen it yet.
So if Ram delivers sooner than Tesla - I will take RAM. I'm not too fond of Rivian-looking design and do not like Ford 150L tech.(read battery). The Hammer is unreasonably expensive, and Tesla looks like we have to wait for years if you are not in the first wagon of the train....
Will see what RAM offers and what is the price going to be. RAM always was pretty affordable trucks...
