seems there’s a possible conflation here.

“TX tooling on track” and “producing alphas” aren’t necessarily overlapping in locations

according to the comment above, the pilot line is in CA, not TX

so seems possible they’re producing Aliens has in CA, and still tooling TX line

which would explain all the sightings in CA and near none in TX (outside the aero acoustic shots)

That first image is in a tent right? Do they build parts of the production line in a tent and then move it to the production line once they get it right?

Pack looks to be already installed as you can see the tray on the underside and HV cabling.

It appears that there are attachment points for the SS exterior panels on the subframe and bosses on the casting to mount SS panels. The exterior SS panels will be too structurally insignificant to declare this as an exoskeleton as most of the loads will be handled by the castings, structural battery pack and subframe.
However, this is great news for repairs to the exterior panels as they could be replaced easily for minor accidents.

I do not see how 3mm stainless can be “structurally insignificant”. The exoskeleton was never intended or expected to handle downward (Z axis) loads; it provides flexural rigidity.

I believe that to be Fremont, unless they built a tent in Texas to keep ALL eyes off Cybertruck.

It's a pilot line, they are trialing assembly in Fremont and then implement those learnings at scale for volume production in Austin.

This may not be new news but it looks like the front suspension has airbags. I knew it would be some kind of pneumatic suspension, but i wasnt sure if it would be a cylinder or bag type. Can anyone with more experience chime it? Also, i bet that airtank is getting mounted behind the battery under the vault. My guess is you may be able to access it through the storage box in the vault. It will have to have some kind of automatic bleeding valve I would assume.

The 1st, 3rd and 4th photo are the pilot line (California) and the 2nd photo was Texas. The accumulator (air tank) appears to be aluminum and hopefully mounted in a way where water can be drained often.

The pilot line is in California? I guess that makes sense because that is where we have seen Alpha versions on the test track.
