Not to sound like I am fixated on this or anything but does this rear end look a lot better than the original or I am imagining things? It looks like the height of the metal part has been reduced. If so, I have no idea how long ago. I am just noticing it and like it a lot.

Looking at the front wheel, it looks like her camera does distort but when it comes to rear ends, the camera seems to be selective:

I watched Ellie in space's video. As soon as I saw the rack I was measuring in my mind, looking for the mounting points and assessing whether I could weld a stainless version in my shop. I was imagining how round stock would look too. Punched and dimpled gussets instead of the grating along the sides as I would want more access from the side. BUT!!! A rack will give me the ability to carry dimensional lumber now without the tailgate down. Eight foot, twelve foot, and 16 foot lengths won't need the additional drag and weight... and complexity of a trailer. Woo Hoo!! Premix bags in the bed with my tools, lumber and sheeting stacked high on the rack, and still not stressing the "fuel" economy! This actually challenges the utility of my F250 (finally).

Little trivia: that Og prototype photo is of the full sized dummy/maquette - at end of unveil they took away the real proto with broken glass, and rolled this one out for the walk-around photo session

in any event, they have sense then altered the proportions as well as angles
