Exactly. The new MSRP is going to determine the success or failure of the Cybertruck.
What if there is no "new" MSRP? As in the "old" MSRP is also the "current" MSRP.

Tooling phase…. So that whole group photo thing claiming to the the first one from production was smoke and mirrors. It in testing and tooling. I’m glad they are testing, but damn man..4 damn years minus a few because of the Covid crap. I’m disappointed.
People around here may have said “produced” or “production,” but Tesla said it was the first truck “built” in Texas

and for what it’s worth, Tesla hadn’t shown specs and pricing at other reveals like they did with the CT, but all of teslas cars have been ~4yrs between announcement and production - not really a COVID thing.

when people here squawk about being accurate or conservative with word choices, it’s sometimes intended as helpful

forum hopium may have disappointed you, but that’s not really on Tesla

Yea, this is my biggest concern. The fact they made this to "Fit in a garage" is not a good sign for me. They kept the Bed to 6' so this means that back seat is going to be tight . I was hoping for a back seat like a Tundra Crew Cab (like the silverado has) . I think it will be larger then a double cab like you show there but if its not that will be another nail for me.

This should post should probably be put in its own thread. May do that later.

I've spent a fair amount of time cleaning my TMX windshield for myself and passengers while on road trips ....
... it sure appears like that single wiper does a lousy job of clearing the full passenger side.

Even ignoring the area not touched by the wiper you cansee that the further you get away from the pivot point the more mud is caked where the wiper does touch . The wiper is just too large to do a great job on anything but rain. This wiper was always an afterthought , By the time my number comes up hopefully they find another solution.

@cvalue13 time for a wiper swipe analysis plz and thx. I figure with your boxes and some other images to reference we can squash the wiper range
The BAW likely clears more windshield than any other truck. The real question is can the outer radius apply enough pressure for mud

Otherwise people lose sight of the fact that:

(1) unlike other trucks, the CT windshield extends up to overhead the front passengers

(2) the upper 12” of the windshield glass isn’t actually visible windshield due to the visors etc

Thank you for the visuals. They were helpful. I just did 5300 miles in our TMX and **really** LOVE the "Big Sky" windshield and think I'm going to be disappointed with the TMCt's windshield by comparison. ala how they implemented the upper ~12" and visors.

We did various tourist stops on the way back the the views when driving were outstanding. (Glacier Natl Park, Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls ID [The Niagara Of The West]; Tetons; Yellowstone; Beartooth highway; Custer State Park, Badlands, etc).

Okay, not Cybertruck related, but is anyone else shocked that Model S/X production is only ~4% of total production? I know the 3 and Y are more popular, but I never thought by this degree.

If it was Toyota or VW I would think models that made up that small a percentage of production would be destined for discontinuation.

The S/X are not "mass produced" like the 3/Y. Elon has said that the S/X are more of a sentimental choice for him at this point. (Plus the Plaid-level S makes for some serious bragging rights.)

Not exactly. He explicitly talked about it, saying that the CT looks big on the outside but is really big on the inside, and that this is good design. Go listen to what he said if you doubt my paraphrasing it. Of course, we still do not know what that means, but he was addressing the issue side-on.

Extremely disappointing news from Tesla. Zero insight from Tesla on specs, pricing, range. Still technically in 'tooling' and testing phase. What a letdown.

At least they were generous enough to let us know how long the Cybertruck won't be.
Are you new to corporate earnings calls?

They are not the place for individual product details, specs, pricing, range etc. It's a look at what the company did in the previous quarter and a look at business conditions and strategies going forward.

If you were "extremely disappointed" then you misunderstood the purpose of the quarterly earnings call. I'm not saying this to harsh on you, but in the hope that you won't be disappointed after future quarterly earnings calls.

Is really big on the inside.

That sounds like it's pretty big on the inside no?
