I get that. I will still do the CT for sure.. but this was impressive. I would guess it will be selling at a decent loss at $94k. Making a great EV truck is one thing (this hits good metrics!)… but making them at scale and for profit is another thing.. for the few thousands that get them the first few years, they will enjoy them! But let’s see how they scale before there is a business side to making trucks as well that is just as crucial as specs (see Lucid - top spec, can’t scale)As a Tesla shareholder and CT enjoyer I am disappointed that CHEVY of all companies appears to have made a more capable vehicle by range of metrics, usability, and versatility.
No steer by wire and the Silverado looks like a regular ugly truck, but the stat sheet is better than the CT and that is disapointing.
I think it is great they are making the CT look weak in some metrics, but we also have to look at it honestly and with the realistic view of making cars for profit (the goal of business)
