and that wasn’t even the Beast. It was AWD! Beast would smoke F150 in tug of war or head butt, giving CT two extra points, not that I’m counting ?!

Power wasn't the issue, traction (again) was despite the weight being equal - CT already has like 3x the power of F150, but once the tires start spinning they aren't gripping the pavement. At that point it's really about the technique.

I tug of war between two vehicles only tests traction. A geared down lawnmower can beat an F150, if it’s heavy enough.

The most interesting and impressive thing to me in that video was Tesla service center not turning them away and actually fixing the substantial and intentional damage. I imagine WD opted out of fixing a bunch of things like the torn rear bumper on purpose to save the money, since they'd be destroying it again.

I’ve been curious to see more real-world feedback on the Sierra EV…how are you liking it (minus Baja mode)? And have you had a chance to roadtrip using Superchargers (any V3+/v4 charges yet?) and what sort of charge rates are you seeing?

The Sierra is a good looking truck imo, really wish Tesla had implemented the mid-gate Pass-through promise like your truck, but I can’t give up Supercharger access (including V1/V2s) out here in the wide West/Rockies).

Loving it. Best truck I've ever owned so far and I've had a few (F250, RAM2500 &3500, TRX, F150 Lightning Lariat ER, 24 F150 Hybrid King Ranch). Having said that, I'm not big into off-roading. Mostly need enough to get by on construction sites, access drilling rigs, and caliche roads. More a capable luxo-tank truck than anything.

Recently, I've driven back and forth between central Texas and Louisiana a few times and a much better experience than in the Lightning with 320mi range. I've charged across the Tesla spectrum in both.

At Tesla I typically see median 180kW/h, but I wasn't charging from a low SOC. I took a pic of 151kW/h at 54% SOC at a V3. I've stopped at two Buc-cees with the new V4 stalls, but I'm not sure if they are pushing their max electrons because there was no change to my charging speed. EA topped out at 341KW, but for apples to apples comparison I have an EA pic of 55% SOC at 231kW/h. Coming from a Lightning that I drove between Durango and Nashville, among other areas in between; it's still a relief. Your driving habits and available chargers should dictate your choice on this one. In my case I need to be able to go longer periods of time untethered. Sometimes that charger requires a special trip out of the way every week, so I need that extra range to get me there/back and last the week.

I haven't had further projects yet in this EV to push it like I did the others. However, instantly easier driving with less concern for SOC. I now choose to when and where to stop rather than being forced to stop in specific places along the route. I think my next trip through NM to Colorado will be more relaxing as well. We had a couple of places where I wish I'd had more range due to limited infrastructure and slow chargers.

Oh, and since you're out west, Sierra efficiency in my experience has been less impacted by extended time at highway speeds.

In the second video he talks about locking both front and rear differentials. He says 2500 lbs payload. He never brags about 2.6 seconds launch. He didn’t try Beast mode at all and crashed at the end. Given the insane things he did, I would be disappointed if it’s a Beast and he never tried the Beast mode, lol ?.

Unless he is totally clueless about the specs and has no idea what he is talking about, which is quite a possibility, it’s most likely AWD!

Cool thanks for the impressions. I’ll stick with CT/REX for now, for towing out in our UT zone, but have a buddy ogling the SierraEV for reasons similar to your “out of the way special trips” use-case. And, if Tesla takes too long to deliver our REX batteries I may give up and switch to the Sierra for the range.
