Anti-Musk interests have a LOT of media control. Musk often feeds the trolls. The result is a ton of hate. Hate is not logical so there really is not a good way around it.

My latest anecdote, son in law was visiting. I picked him up in the CT as he is 6ft 250 lbs. He commented how he fit pretty well, but did not want to be seen in a CT. Later he remarked how well it rode and handled. When it came time to take him for his going home flight, he requested the CT. That did not stop him from saying how much we should not support Musk all the way to the airport.
I always challenge people to fully articulate their stance/opinion. something about forcing someone to speak on their own opinions on the spot really gives them pause.

of course, you need to pull a pro gamer layer move and only ask questions in which you already know the answer ;)

If you've ever got the morbs about the truck-fueled hate sent your way, take a detour by a couple of elementary schools during recess. Drive by, honk the horn (new fire truck sound preferred), and watch the reaction. Mood lifted; problem solved.
(Note: This therapy may not work when exposed to indoctrinated kids in Portland or Seattle).

A couple families in my neighborhood asked me to give their children rides for Christmas, the kids are so shocked when you pull up and offer their whole family a ride. Fart mode, Santa Mode, light show, horn sound who wouldn’t smile?!

I always say kids love it, adults hate it, and I'm a kid at heart. I could care less about any misplaced anger from fools.

As of late very little hate. Just comments why I would wanna own _that_. Funniest was when working with law enforcement, one of the deputies said exactly that. After a whole day sort of befuddled asked me what I was thinking when I got _that_. Been inside one? I asked him. So I let him drive and he was grinning ear to ear at the end. Saw him drive one of the loaners during the LA fires cleanup.

I don't care about whatever finger anyone sticks up or words they mouth, is not part of my happiness. My happiness is finding more reasons to drive the damn thing; sorry honey, need to go to the store (again) to buy a washer thingamagingy, yep yep another one....

Thanks for the reassurance. I’m not sure if it’s just the woke drivers or like skeptic old school truck drivers ya know.
No one knows what woke means since the term has been corrupted from its original intent. When I first came across the term it had connotations of awareness and respect. Now it is used to denigrate others in an uneducated, disrespectful way … funny in a sad way.

I let a complete stranger drive my ct(in a parking lot) and I let everyone who asks about it To sit in it. People are blown away. Elementary school kids go crazy when they see a ct. They all run to the fence to check it out and wave their arms! Give a honk at any school recess and kids go nuts. It’s hilarious!
Yup, get it. My 20-minute trip to the feed store to get horse feed always turns into an hour trip. Pictures, demos, stories. BUT, I live in Texas and the CT is a true US born vehicle that is given birth to only a few hundred miles away so if you bleed red, white and blue, you gotta love the Beast.

recently just been trying to do truck things with my CT. Like loading river rock and concrete on it. And also doing some off road stuff. But damn I’m getting some hate with people shaking their heads and thumbs down. I mean it’s minuscule. However just trying to enjoy my ride ya know and I don’t bother anyone. I don’t even cut people off. Just sucks. Anyone else getting similar experiences?
Nope.

I've noticed anytime a kid sees me driving it, a huge smile forms on their face. I've had kids and their parents walk over to where I'm parked and spark up a conversation about how cool they think it is. I hate attention, but the joy I see in people makes me not care about attention. I've embraced it and sometimes give a couple honks which always makes them even more giddy it seems, lol.

Sure there have been lots of negative commentary from owning one, but the positive reactions far outweighs the negatives. In my first week of driving it, I noticed the most negative reactions but either that's calmed down since, or I just don't notice anymore (because I stopped caring about the haters).

i personally cannot stand Elon musk in any way shape or form, but I didn't buy the truck because of him. I bought it because Tesla has the most production experience in electric cars and their software is currently unmatched. If people want to hate on me because they somehow associare
me with him, they should also give equal public hatred to like 95% of things they buy from Amazon, Walmart, just to name a few billionaires that are just shit humans. But they don't.

Has anyone else noticed that right now it's "popular" to hate on the Cybertruck? Like people thinks it gives them social acceptance because they can all jump on the hate bandwagon collectively, which I suppose makes them feel like they're in the "in group", not because of anything other than it's something new and different. People hate change, people hate things that don't conform to their fragile reality.

I suspect this hatred will calm down once they realize there's more important things to bitch about and when seeing more and more of them on the road, they'll be more conditioned to seeing them everywhere. This too shall pass. And it's their loss.

Yeah it looks like a triangle, what a harsh burn!! I will just cry myself to sleep because of their projection of what they think is me having buyers remorse. Think of something more original than just copying your friends' opinion.
