Y’all are so privileged

I get the finger just walking down the street ?‍♂
Stop walking, drive…or FSD. Simply, it proves that the misinformed public lacks proper social skills. Pity them.

Maybe it would help if I put on pants?

Like some of you, I received an enthusiastic Heil Hitler salute while in slow opposing traffic. Good for the elderly gentlemen who felt compelled to share his love for the Führer.

But in the afternoon while entering the grocery store a little lady coming of age made up for it as she thought that the steed I rode in on was just awesome.

The best one was coming out of work one evening just to find a local police cruiser sitting behind me. As I approached the CT, the officer rolled down the window and asked me if she could sit in it. She was so excited. I hope that the next time I get pulled over in town that it is her…

How do you know he just wasn’t giving you his heart? We have lots of people who are unable to tell the difference. What’s your secret formula?

My German heart knows the difference…
So, have said many Germans to anyone willing to ask and face facts. Zero people are confused except for those who wish to be.

In the five month, 6000miles of owning and driving the CT I have had few fingers, and some covering the eyes gestures, plus two “do you really like that?” questions when parked (both times at Costco). Nothing that bothers me, and none of it felt like ”hate”.
Many more positive reactions, thumbs up, smiles. Occasional chats with people who approach to look or make a picture. But in general not too much reaction either way.

One mistaken person who thought I must be a fellow Trump/Musk fan. My response that I like Tesla, specific the CT, but not Trump and that I was very disappointed with Musk surprised him, but that was it.

Here in the SanJose, CA area CTs are a relative very common sight Already longer, before I got mine. Maybe that results in the limited reactions?

At first I got a lot of you must like Elon/trump/etc. Why does everything have to be political in America? I wonder if that’s the case in other countries. Does someone in China get mad if somebody goes to Disneyland or buys a Ford lol

It’s funny cause before when I got my Model 3 it was you must be a tree hugger! haha

Elon is the trigger. I wish he’d just stick to getting us to Mars
Although I was poking fun at Gus, there’s a kernel of truth in the jealousy allegation—okay, maybe a whole popcorn bucket’s worth. Let’s face it, everyone knows what these Cybertrucks cost. A fully specced-out FS Beast kisses the $130,000 mark (with sales tax, because Uncle Sam never misses a payday). That price tag alone is enough to make local ICE pickup drivers clutch their lug nuts in existential despair.

Now, mix in the cutting-edge, high-tech wizardry packed into the CT, and suddenly, the “have-nots” of the truck world start short-circuiting. Unfortunately, if their IQ dips below room temperature, that reaction often manifests as pure, unfiltered rage rather than curiosity. Take my neighbor, for instance—his driveway is a graveyard of jacked-up old pickups, so high you’d need a Sherpa to climb in. The exhaust systems? Removed, of course, because waking up the entire county at 2 a.m. is a badge of honor. And let’s not forget the pièce de résistance: they never simply pull out of the driveway and drive like civilized humans. No, no. They drift onto the road, hammering the gas, bellowing like a prehistoric beast, and disappearing in a thick cloud of coal-rolling insecurity.

Meanwhile, Blitzen sits there—sleek, silent, and utterly unbothered. All three of their trucks combined couldn’t outmatch him in speed, style, stealth, or sheer curb appeal. And the price? Well, let’s just say it pushes their dream of owning one further away than their last emissions test.

I’ll admit, I take a certain mature satisfaction in their frustration—though it’s not exactly a Santa-like virtue. But hey, at my age, you grab for every bit of joy you can get, and let me tell you, this Beast delivers in spades. Ho, ho, hold my kilowatts—I’m outta here.

Last week I had a guy tell me my CT looks like a trash bin. I said, "Really? My trash bin is mostly plastic, just like your car". His mouth hung open. Hahaha

I got a Nazi salute yesterday. I just smiled and said I was disappointed in Musk as well.
Not to get in a heated discussion but what’s your #1 disappointment?
