Saw that this morning, if you told me a year ago that Kyle would do a review of those three trucks and the CT would rank as low as it did across his criteria I would call you crazy.

The cybertruck does seem to be missing out on a few things. Pretty decent review of the three trucks given the amount of time. At least it sounds like he's heard something about the charging curve being worked on. Maybe the range and charging will get better but then the front trunk's not as usable, the seats don't look as comfortable or nice and I'm surprised that he said it's noisier than the other two. My Rivian was pretty noisy but it also came with all terrain tires. So still the range, the charging the price and the extra-extra price if you want to get a foundation version, sooner. I think I also like the looks of the Rivian best, save for the front headlights. Always reminds me of a hippo for some reason.

Worth the time to watch, lots of information-some subjective, given very quickly. The Lightning came off looking pretty good and I was personally surprised how much he likes the Rivian.

I am still all in on the CT, but Tesla has some problems to overcome and a bit of catch up to do. At the same time, I doubt neither Rivian nor Ford will be resting on their laurels.

Good breakdown and everything as expected.

Rivian is the beach / camping guy small sport truck.

F150 lightning is the classic F150. A good all arounder, made for the folks who want an electric F150 with a look and feel no different from the 2015 and up ICE model.

Cybertruck does it all and is the best for just about everything. Made for folks who want to stand out and have the latest(and future) tech. Classic Tesla; features, fixes, and tweaks roll out over time.

My biggest takeaway was in his subjective opinion, each truck had its pros and cons and were distinct in their target audience. Rivian for the adventure types but smaller all around. The Lightning for those wanting the traditional F150 look and is a great truck and Cybertruck for those looking for something different. It’s a good video for someone considering an EV truck purchase but are unsure which they want. Whichever truck you decide to get is the best one. Kyle decided the Rivian is best for his needs. I’m sticking with the Cybertruck.

There is too much sugar coating the cybertruck. The design and materials obviously target different people; CT: minimalist, Rivian: upscale, Ford: traditional.

To the point, the CT has three sore points that make it presently uncompetitive for a large portion of us who want the CT: pending software updates (which can be overlooked), the 4680s, and both of these in relation to price.

"If" the CT launched using the Gen1 4680's, range will improve this year with the Gen2 batteries being produced today by at least 10%. This will make the CT on par for range with the others, through a combination of software improvements and better battery chemistry. If the current CT's are using Gen2 batteries now (unknown), Tesla has a serious problem. By the time Gen3 production starts in 2025 (at best), any improvements will remain behind other's as their tech is moving forward as well.

Tesla bet the farm on the 4680's as it will become the default battery for all model lines. There is no doubt they will eventually meet their design goals, but when?

Tesla is fairly good at future proofing - so the CT pack size is not a problem, even being the smallest of the others. You can be sure it was designed with the Gen3 battery as its expected long-term battery, meaning 400 miles may actually be the expected base, but due to delays in 4680 advancement, we got the "foundation series" with FSD included, to offset the fact that batteries will be much improved in future models.

The additional drop-in battery pack will future proof any current CT purchases, but it greatly reduces the utility of the truck bed. However, it's possible to imagine a future CT with Gen3 batteries and the drop in battery pack getting over 500 miles between charges and ~250 miles towing.

Price will come down, batteries will improve, software updates are coming. While I want the CT today, I decided to cancel my order for any 2024 model. There are plenty of people with disposable funds who can overlook the price of being an early adopter with these major limitations - but many like myself cannot. Plus, I want the solar tonneau cover. With Tesla also being an energy company, it's' surprising this was not a day one release.

The others don't have a 240 outlet... The review seems very, very worried about having 110v in the front, not just in the back and also in the cab. ok, whatever.... I'm more interested in the 240v and total amp capacity of the outlets. So that is pretty good on the cybertruck and is better than on the others.

Hey Thanks I didn't know that the F150 had a 240 in the bed. Reading about it now... 30 amps I think. Is the Cybertruck 48amps? - I've owned 5 f150's over the years, and still have an old antique F100.
