I'm not castrating anything. People expect full size trucks cost more than compact SUVs. I think they will charge in line with the Y for the Dual CT. That car is selling like hotcakes.
shall I expect Porsche Cayenne more expensive than Porsche 911 Turbo?

Personally, I'm not happy about the potential for the CT that I had on order for $X to be increased by Y. I expect to have to pay what I reserved.
However, it IS a Free Market and I could simply walk away. But I'm not. Yet.
I'm willing to hang on to see just how much my CT2 has increased, but if it's more than a MY, then I may reconsider. The whole concept of this truck was affordability through a cheaper, streamlined manufacturing process.
It just seems that we're getting fed nothing but a string of bad news with the continued promise of "a really good product".

All this said, I'm very curious to see the reaction to those who still have these things on reserve once the pricing and such officially come out. One would THINK that since the design is locked, as is the month and year of production commencement, the pricing and trim levels would follow suit relatively shortly thereafter. And in some odd way, this is what concerns me most. I'd prefer to be disappointed sooner rather than later.

I do think us CT guys are gluttons for punishment.

Agreed!! Especially when you don’t have a product to deliver on! They should never have put a price tag on it in the first place if they couldn’t deliver the product after the plethora of announcements!
They have to give an estimate.

Thanks!
Makes my numbers more rational..!
But that straight overall inflation some sectors are hit much harder...Elon said lithium for example is not on the same scale as other items.

70k is 81k in today's money..close to my $85k bet for tri...if Elon is helpful he would make it 80k for rebate... hopefully!

I paid almost 80k for my MYP without all the cool suspension, 240v outlet, compressor, vault cover, and being bullet proof. CT is almost 4 ft longer made out of stainless.

just to give you guys an idea what stainless is like....i deal with stainless building out custom restaurant setups for cocktail bars.

That chart seems to be missing the last 18 months.

she has no idea what she is talking about, again. lol There will be a price increase, hope it not to big.
Except he said no such thing.

He very specifically did not.

Go back. Nowhere did he say the price would increase.

$100 @ 10% compounded interest for 4 years is < $150. People are nuts to think this is cause for Tesla to hold prices. The spec will change and the unanticipated pandemic inflation will get priced in. It won’t be that bad. Tesla wants to sell a shit load of trucks. Not just a few $120k Plaids. The CT will be the 2023 truck of the year.

Looks like Elon saved you $15.

You're welcome

Apparently the chip shortage is alive and well.

Sienna production is halted due to chip shortage til January. Dealer not taking deposits til December and deliveries of april for those who get in line in December. My used '22 Sienna is retailing ~15k above msrp. Dealer offered me the out-the-door price i paid +$7300.

Id do it but 8 months is too long of a wait for a new van. Hope tesla has ducks in order on the chip front

The last data point is for June 2022..just saying prices from when announced to now it's nuts...I used to get a 4x8 sheet 304 stainless for 1200..now it's 2k ...I would imagine for just exterior would be 5 sheets of 4x8 or 4 sheets of 4x10 to make one CT.

I had a dream last night:

There's only going to be a quad motor version 4WD with two different battery sizes, and a performance model.

All will come with 4WS, FSD and all the fruit, and prices will start from $65k for the 300mile pack.

FSD will be used as Band-Aid to keep prices down, and customers on the order hook, seeing they can distribute that software for free on all CT models and charge for version upgrades later.

With credits that's $57k, which still covers inflation on a dual motor price, and Tesla pockets the rest for 4WS and the two extra motors. The performance will just be a software upgrade.

You can thank me with TSLA share. :ROFLMAO:
