We agree :
We start to receive our CT's mid 23, and there's a 3 year waiting list.

WhatIF ?
Interest in CT grows as fast as we have seen with the 3 and Y ?
By the end of 2024, could the waiting list get to 8 years ?
Yes it could.

IF what Elon promised/alluded to about the Cybertruck comes to fruition.

Elon said the Tri-motor would have a range of 500 miles, be virtually bulletproof, go 0-60 in 3 seconds and charge on the Tesla network. If Tesla can build that vehicle and sell it for less than $89,,000, the waiting list will be many many years long.

Model 3 and Model Y wait lists only lasted a year.

I think Cybertruck production is going to be much higher than 250k within a few years and keep expanding until it meets demand.

My line in the sand has been drawn. Your move, Elon
If Elon was to say "this time next year, Cybertrucks will be rolling out of this factory". At the meeting this week. There would be some major excitement, and I might be tempted to go "all in" on the stock. (I need some money to pay for mine), :p

Yep Volume production mid 23.

And he said equipment in 2 or so months, and did he say they would be getting things up and going ?

Finally !!! Will we receive information we crave for much sooner than we anticipate ?

We calculated a month or so ago, receiving the 9 ton Sept/Oct.
3 months to set up and production starting to gear up around March 23.

Volume = 5000 per week...250,000 per year.
A single 9 ton press can't do that, so we should be seeing 2 installed before March 23. ?

And if Volume is as we think, Can two 9 tons reach 300-400,000 per year by end of Dec 23 ?

I believe he meant volume enough for one 9 ton giga press. Which is volume for retail sales, not max volume. It's probably a bit fantastic to hope for two 9 ton giga presses arriving in the next 3-6 months given we've seen video of IDRA factory, and they mentioned they needed to get each product shipped in order to make room to build the next product, and that they do not start building each product until they have all the parts arrived and sitting in their factory floor. You could see parts for another giga press lying around in wait for assembly, aside from the giga presses shown, but an assembled 9 ton giga press is really hard to hide. We only saw one assembled.

Since there are presumably two castings (front and rear), they will need to switch between them with only 1 casting machine. So I'm guessing they will start stockpiling one of the two castings as soon as the machine is operational, and switch when production starts.
