PCS Failure - Can’t charge at all

Any idea on if Tesla has a true fix/better part? Mine is showing early signs of failing I think? It randomly will stop charging and I have to unplug/replug. Superchargers randomly drop to near 0 speed for a minute or two and then shoot back up. Yesterday I was limited to 35/48 amps charging but when i tried later in the day it was back to 48/48 amps. Not sure if I schedule a service appointment or ride it out another few weeks to see if it continues and if there's a better replacement part.

You need to get it swapped out. Telsa is currently installing the 'G' revision of the PCS.

My May 2024 delivery, 11xxx VIN 35k miles just did the 24/24 deal (I normally charge at 40/40). It will still supercharge. My appointment for replacement is 03/06.

They told me that VINs were flagged and that mine was not, yet im 46xxx

I think the important thing here is to make enough noise about this issue so that they will recall and or put this issue under longer warranty so that we can be covered longer and hopefully they can have a proper fix.

Yea, only thing I can think of is to post under the @Cybertruck and @Tesla accounts on X. I hate to do it because I like Tesla but when it comes to customer service for any company... they typically only respond when the feedback creates bad optics for the company. They aren't going to willingly go out of their way to take a loss unless they have to.

hahah the warranty is one thing but... i'm planning a starbase trip later this year... imagine being down in the boonies and not being able to charge.... with a car full of people that are new to teslas.

I joined the failed PCS club today. Just for reference I have a 10/2024 post-FS build (VIN 413XX) 28.7K miles. I've always charged at home with the mobile charger that came with my 2019 Model 3 and it would fail periodically but unplugging/plugging in again would reset and it would charge. I'm in Austin but appointment is for 3/9. Attempted to supercharge this evening and no love there either so messaged service to see if I can get in sooner. If I don't hear back I'll just drop in.

Took them almost exactly 24 hours to replace it at Ridgepoint service center in Austin. First time I’ve ever had to drop a Tesla at service and my experience was top notch.

I suppose the question is has anyone had a recent replacement PCS that failed again or has anyone with a 2026 CT had this issue ever?

I realize that electrical components fail, but I'd assume they would bolster them, so wondering about failures amongst newer models/newer replacements.

I'm charging at 16 amps on AC now just cause I don't want to deal with this at the moment. Hopefully that makes mine last.

Depending on when you got it you'd think you would want it to break before your warranty expires.
