My UWC doesn’t show as a separate device. It’s coupled with the PowerShare device. I’m thinking that’s an issue.

Mine doesn’t either and PowerShare is active. I’m not sure why mine is different, but it’s working.

Did you have electricians hook up the gateway and UWC?

This was my experience as well. The only difference was I had several warnings about turning off high power devices and once my gateway reset and came back on. I will have to do the test a couple more times to figure out what is considered high. I actually ran the CT power for 45 mins after the first reset with A/C at 100% compressor and had no issues. My Upstairs A/C was on at 100% and was only at 3.5kw. It is new and variable and only draws a high of 11 LRA, so it was not the issue. I thought I had my first floor A/C set too high to kick in. All of my chillers and refrigerators were on. My air compressor was set to off and my waterfall was off. No oven or microwave, though I used the Microwave once to see the impact and that is 1kw at least alone, it did not trigger the reset. I probably will limit it's use. I will post again when I figure out what might have been the culprit. I already have all of network devices on a large UPS, but my satellite Access Points are not. It caused issues with my monitoring my gateway and Universal charger, so I am going to add a UPS to each of them. My switching time was 2 seconds when I flipped the breaker.

How long after you placed your actual order did you get the survey email?

For me it was not about the order but about the delivery. I’d say a few weeks before getting a VIN is when I got my email.

Got my beast May 16th. Original pickup date was April 6th, but delayed because of the throttle pedal and some other interior scratches, so I picked up a different truck May16th.

Placed an order March 21st. Got Powershare survey March 29th, received approval on April 5th.

Looking back at it everything was going on schedule, maybe because I picked up a different truck with different Vin it confused the sistem. When I called Tesla energy they told me to wait another week or stop by the store because they have more information at the store.

I am still waiting, too. I ended up calling Tesla‘s phone support and they have a mobile tech coming to my home on Monday. They said they need to have service figure out what I don’t have a PowerShare option under charging. It’s fairly obvious that they don’t have a rigorous standard work for the call center. They checked my app version and the car software version and said it should be working, but I’m very suspicious someone didn’t “enable” PowerShare in their back office system and folks don’t realize it. I’m hoping a simple conversation with the mobile tech and, hopefully, their internal contacts that they’ll get it enabled. I’ll report back. It has been over a week of waiting for PowerShare to be enabled.
An update: The mobile tech cancelled the day before the scheduled visit. Told me I have to submit a request via the PowerShare service option in the app. I've done it three times over the last three weeks. Every time it says, "We'll reach out in 1-3 days." I never get contacted. Meanwhile two power outages already. All I get is a perpetual runaround by Tesla.

The lack of communication in this process is exceptionally horrible. Unreal how bad the buying and support experience has gotten since my Roadster days. Even the electrician has no idea what is going on.

I paid for installation and I'm literally housing useless equipment with a clueless Tesla organization. They could care less how their customers feel through the process. Even their support people abandon me as quick athey can. I'm very accommodating and polite, but no one wants to deal with my problem.

I have three Teslas and this might be my last one.

UPDATE: I got PowerShare activated today (6/21/24).

Some dates:

Got PowerShare email from electrician: March 12th
Electrician inspection of home: 3/18/24
Received quote from electrician: 5/8/24
Picked up CyberTruck from Tesla: 5/20/2024
Install date of PowerShare equipment: 5/28/24
Seven calls to support to activate PowerShare: 5/29/24-6/20/24
PowerShare Activated by Tesla (no email, just showed up in app): 6/21/24

Hope this helps folks. I never talked to someone at Tesla who knew what they were doing. I don't know if my discussions with mobile tech, phone support or three submissions via mobile app made a difference. None of it could have made a difference as it could have just happened on its own schedule. Communication was so bad and a simple message like "You will be activated in the next few weeks." could have made this a fundamentally better experience.

Like you, I've owned multiple Tesla's (5 counting the Cybertruck), and based on how abysmal communication has gotten, I likely won't buy another. Don't get me wrong, the folks at my service center are great, but corporate Tesla is a raging dumpster fire. Probably because the CEO is running 5 other companies (what other publicly traded company would allow that!?!?).

I've had Powerwalls and solar for 3 years, truck since March, and still no powershare (which is wild to me, because it seems like some basic software changes). That said, I do have pending arbitration from the whole $700 store credit fiasco.

So, I already have full solar and Powerwalls, along with the UWC. Do I need to do anything else? Had my truck for a week or so. Do I need to call to get them to flip the switch?
