I don't think that you can really compare the Model S rollout with the Cybertruck. I'd be surprised if there were thousands on the list and it would have been quite possible for a delivery center to "run out of list" with nothing to be done except put the vehicle in inventory.

I'm comparing to the Model 3 and Model Y rollouts in which there was a humongous demand.

Looks like we are at that fun stage / free for all!

thanks @newwave1331

so @yeyehas you can guestimate yours was built in the week or three (given holidays) after that activation date
No worries. I knew my VIN is activated beofre 12/10 thanks to your website! It's those ealry batches with wheel covers delivered... Just curious the initial AWD VIN after #420 (I feel most 4xx are given to employees and Tesla f&f?) and who will eventaully get #420 VIN, maybe Elon ;)

Could any of you who received your VIN this week verify whether the Wrap option was available for your vehicle in the Tesla shop?

A touch over 4,000 trucks total to date, and a dollop over 500 Beasts among them …

And TSLA still doesn’t have the recall VIN search back up and running

I think at this point safe to say they turned it off because this thread got a little too up their pant leg for comfort.

But, from a regulatory perspective, they can’t hide behind ‘low volume production’ exceptions forever

Looks like he’s polling CARFAX for registered CT VINs (the scatter plots), then based off VIN# found assuming the VIN# correlate to totals

they don’t, because there are gaps

would also be bloated by eg MCs and other non-saleable clusters within those ranges

all-in-all, explains why his assumed numbers/trajectories are over by ~1,000

A couple related tweets to this thread it seemed.

Tesla should also start receiving 4680 cells from Panasonic in August. We can speculate that CT production will turn up a few notches to make use of these cells, especially assuming continued progress with Austin's ramp.

NEWS: LG Energy Solution noted that it achieved 90% battery yield within a month of operating the Tennessee plant.

I have new DMV VIN data (Vehicle Identification Numbers) up to June 3rd. I use this data to calculate Tesla's production. The accuracy of this method is 98.8%. The data includes all Tesla models produced in the US.

For example, this chart shows Cybertruck production. The production rate has been the same since late March. That's why the blue line is straight instead of curved. It means production is not ramping up.

I'm working on a new update for Patreon. It will include a lot more details. That's all for now. Thanks.

to put things into perspective...they aren't making many at all, they cant even send hub caps out to us paid customers or decide to just give us money for what we never received. Just a mess.

Or could it be that they want to make sure that they get the hubcaps right this time?
Aside from trade-offs between engineering and design, they need to test the new ones to verify if they give any issues.
And then they have to get a manufacturer scaled back up to production levels.

Ever built castings before?

oh wow, thought this was going to be a good person response but at the end you turned into a D..k. Yes I've done it all and they do have the final version, some trucks have them already. If you knew anything you'd know that already. Now, dont go away mad, just go away.

If you have them already then why "they cant even send hub caps out to us paid customers"?

But obviously, all you are doing it complaining.
