so I 3D printed the file provided (using Bambu p1p) and then I sprayed a few layers of UV clear coat on it too. Applied double sided tape to the bottom and was able to tuck more wires inside the housing (including the connector) so this is much cleaner Install! Super happy with the results !

Can you share where you got this 3d file from to print? Can't find that housing. Looks awesome. Great job.

One question will you or anyone here can print and sell one as I have no access to the 3d printer.
I will pay and cover all the shipping costs/material...
How you guys get these without a printer?

It is in the 2nd post of this same thread:
https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...mera-mounted-on-roof-top.33974/#post-30467210

I think there are many places online you can give the file and they can print it for you.

One poster in another thread said:
in3dtec is my current favorite 3D print shp. Fast and cheap.

Note from above:
make sure you print in ASA or ABS or it will melt.. i learned my lesson. i looked at this one also i went with a smaller camera cap :L)

I've had my Cybertruck since February 2024 and the rearview mirror is the biggest miss on this truck. I've been looking all the available options out there and narrowed it down to Hansshow and Wolfbox. I decided to go with Hansshow because I like the OEM style bracket it uses to hold the digital mirror instead of just mounting it on top of the original mirror. Also it's a bit smaller and angular. So far I've been very happy with it!

I noticed most people opted to install the rearview camera on the tailgate area but I didn't want to do that because I didn't want a low angle view. Plus if you decide to use the tow hitch, you won't be able to see anything. I mounted on the top of the truck right on the plastic trim between the roof glass and the tonneau cover so that it can provide an overhead view of the rear while also looking into the truck bed (when open) if needed.

The overall install time took about 1 hour with half of the time trying to squeeze the wires inside the camera housing above the mirror. Routing the wires through the interior of the car and going outside was surprisingly easily. Anyway I made a quick video of my process below.

Lastly, I didn't like how the external camera is so boxy looking so for the meantime I had someone 3D print me a larger version of the cyber whistle and I used a dremal tool to convert it to house my camera. This will do for now, until I find a better solution. Anyone got any 3d Print designs to house this camera better?

I'm seriously considering doing mine.. which specific Hansshow did you pick?

Also, this:

A side note on the Hansshow Rearview mirror. I had mine professionally installed in Houston. Great picture, but the "noise" from the cabling to the mirror knocked out my GPS. Had to take it back in and "shield" the cable for a segment. Both camera and GPS/FSD work now. Glad I installed the mod, and not necessarily a knock on the product, just something to be aware and maybe proactive about... Cheers.

I ordered. I just want the better view of mounting right above the tonneau cover. But now I am wondering if mounting on my lightbar would be good. Probably give me a little more blind spot coverage without sacrificing too much, except a view of the vault when open.

I honestly have no idea why people care about the rear view mirror not having video or not being able to see out the back of the truck with the rear view mirror….100% of everything is being digested from the screen anyway so why is looking at the rear view there any different?! I don’t get the fixation…no offense, smh. After a couple of hours after getting my CT, I haven’t given it a 2nd thought
I agree. And it’s even better with the new tap to zoom in/out feature
