while I continue to be unsure what you’re driving at either, I’ll note that your understanding of F150 height may be offF150 is minimum 75.2"
the max height of an F150 is not above the driver’s seat. Like Elon, I’m 6’2”+ and like Elon taller than the F150 roof height measured at the driver’s seat
The F150 max height is measured at the antennae bumps on the rear edge of the cab (which rear edge of the cab is itself higher than the front of the cab due to the truck’s stock rake).
in any event, the Raptor is far taller due to both the tires and the suspension settings - not to mention that example I used appears to have been leveled.
In any event, I don’t really see how any of this is here or there to what seemed the substantive discussion: for months (years) some have been exclaiming that forward visibility in the CT will be an order of magnitude better better than all other full sized trucks on the market
That claim seemed to be based on a misunderstanding that driving position in a CT was more like the driving position in a VW bus
Always seemed obvious to me that was a misunderstanding - and that there’s no basis for believing CT visibility will be anorder of magnitude better better than all other full sized trucks on the market
Could it be somewhat better than some other make/models, if in lowered position, seat raised highest setting, pointed westward on a full moon? Sure, why not, we’ll see!
Could it be somewhat worse than some other make/models? Sure, why not, we’ll see! (For example, folks understand the CT isn’t the only full sized truck with air suspension that is lowered - and the Ram in particular is almost certainly lower than the CT given the CT’s tire size and clearance claims.)
But generally speaking, the CT driving position is roughly every bit as far back from the front bumper as any other make/model, and it has roughly just as much “hood” visible to the driver (even if in the form of a long dash) as any other make/model. In each case, at least to the extent enough to dismiss claims that it’ll be an order of magnitude better better than all other full sized truck on the market.
