F150 is minimum 75.2"
while I continue to be unsure what you’re driving at either, I’ll note that your understanding of F150 height may be off

the max height of an F150 is not above the driver’s seat. Like Elon, I’m 6’2”+ and like Elon taller than the F150 roof height measured at the driver’s seat

The F150 max height is measured at the antennae bumps on the rear edge of the cab (which rear edge of the cab is itself higher than the front of the cab due to the truck’s stock rake).

in any event, the Raptor is far taller due to both the tires and the suspension settings - not to mention that example I used appears to have been leveled.

In any event, I don’t really see how any of this is here or there to what seemed the substantive discussion: for months (years) some have been exclaiming that forward visibility in the CT will be an order of magnitude better better than all other full sized trucks on the market

That claim seemed to be based on a misunderstanding that driving position in a CT was more like the driving position in a VW bus

Always seemed obvious to me that was a misunderstanding - and that there’s no basis for believing CT visibility will be anorder of magnitude better better than all other full sized trucks on the market

Could it be somewhat better than some other make/models, if in lowered position, seat raised highest setting, pointed westward on a full moon? Sure, why not, we’ll see!

Could it be somewhat worse than some other make/models? Sure, why not, we’ll see! (For example, folks understand the CT isn’t the only full sized truck with air suspension that is lowered - and the Ram in particular is almost certainly lower than the CT given the CT’s tire size and clearance claims.)

But generally speaking, the CT driving position is roughly every bit as far back from the front bumper as any other make/model, and it has roughly just as much “hood” visible to the driver (even if in the form of a long dash) as any other make/model. In each case, at least to the extent enough to dismiss claims that it’ll be an order of magnitude better better than all other full sized truck on the market.

One other thing to consider: if the CT has front/rear/4 wheel independently adjustable suspension, couldn't you potentially adjust it so the CT is "crouched" (cheetah stance) when you stop the vehicle for added visibility over the dash/hood?

Thats a wireless charging pad or a place for a purse, unless introducing knees to a forehead is Elon’s idea of a party
Agreed. It’s extremely similar to what a Chrysler Pacifica has in that space, a plastic channel that holds a bag and keeps loose items from rolling under the driver’s feet.

that’s a goose chase

the CT is 18.5” diagonal

the width of either is irrelevant, really, anyhow

without knowing anything more than that the CT screen is 18.5” diagonal, one need only know that:

• in the leak photo the, the screen is further from the camera than the console

• being further from the camera, it will if anything only appear smaller than it actually is relative to the console (that’s why the people outside the truck are so small)

• despite that, the 18.5” diagonal screen is still far larger in width than the console (and correcting for perspective, the screen is even bigger than it appears)

min any event, this has all long ago been hashed out, and a select few are too obstinate to their dreams to not see what is in front of them: a console that is just over 2 soda cans wide

I think you’re absolutely right. CT will be a 5 seater, likely a tweener like the R1T, which isn’t a bad move as there’s little competition in that space so far.

I got those heights from Ford, but I'm 6'3 and my F150 Platinum was taller than me. I acknowledged that part of that is tires and suspension, but I was only criticizing the line drawn. We know the Raptor sits up higher, so the blue line is wrong...that's it. It would make a negligible difference in view, but it would change the angle slightly.

again, you’re not quite seeing where the hood obstruction is in the Ct

it’s at/just above the location/height of the BAW attachment

everything forward of the BAW attachment is not visible from the driver’s seat in the CT

that attachment point of the BAW is ~directly above the axel of the front wheels of the CT
Actually if you view the pictures there is a bump in the corner of the dash for the wiper mechanism side. So I believe the dash does dip down a bit more beyond that.

gotcha

no doubt visibility is different in these two otherwise identical 1974 model F250s

The simplified wiring harness and 48v architecture is part of what makes Tesla products superior. No stalks are going to be part of this. Tesla will have a superior product performance and price wise. Ford and Ram will rely on buttons and old school mentality to maintain a market share presence.

Yeah. And it keeps turning out Tesla. Yeah, they'll have to be more competitive. They're have the Roadster, the Semi, the Cybertruck, the Highland Model 3, whatever the "Model 2" is and a refresh of the Model Y.

Tesla won't be sitting still, either. They're just playing their cards close to their chest. A bit shy about jumping the gun when they thought their new cell was going to be their magic tool and it took alot longer to come to fruition than the 2170 development took.
