They're designed as sealed units basically.I figured it could be cheaper
Swap out, send back to factory to deconstruct for new assemblies.

Are you suggesting Tesla would use parts from the Sent-back unit for other repairs? Seems like a good way to get sued for using old parts as new. Certainly a unit with 10,000 miles on it is not the same as a brand new one. I could see negative legal implications for Tesla if they do this…They're designed as sealed units basically.

No, but assemblies and their parts (in all industries) are recycled/refurbished/etc.Are you suggesting Tesla would use parts from the Sent-back unit for other repairs? What use would a refurbished part have if not being used in a customer’s vehicle? No, but assemblies and their parts (in all industries) are recycled/refurbished/etc.
That is an Escort Max 360 Mark 2 and the mount is a 3D printed one I picked up from a link here and bought off etsy.. I did send the person a message about a suggested improvement (make it longer and I could use both the mirror and the mount) but I never heard back. Maybe @TickTock could help?Love your radar detector mount. Which detector and mount is it?
If you just want it longer, most slicers allow you to scale the model independently in the X,Y, & Z. So you could scale the Z before slicing and then print. I use PrusaSlicer but would be surprised if any didn't have this capability. That is an Escort Max 360 Mark 2 and the mount is a 3D printed one I picked up from a link here and bought off etsy.. I will have to see if I can figure that out, the problem is that I don't have the 3D file, I bought the finished product from someone on Etsy who 3D printed it and I'm not sure that they would give me the file, hence me asking them about making a longer version but they never got back to me. If you can find the 3D file for the Escort detector I will see if I can modify it, but I wasn't able to find the actual file, just the finished result. If you just want it longer, most slicers allow you to scale the model independently in the X,Y, & Z. Is there a list of affected vins available or do I need to go back to the drag strip to check? ?It’s not a software version. It’s an incorrect board on the inverter of the front drive unit on some beast units which is limiting the speed to 114mph.
My front drive unit is getting replaced because of this
this is low-key a recall

I wonder if it will show up on the official service list:I took the truck in a couple weeks ago because it wouldn’t go past 114. Engineering in Austin said it’s due to the board on the inverter of the front drive unit and the entire drive unit needs to be replaced.
Sounds like yours is also affected by this batch of bad boards.

you will need to get a new front drive unit. It’s the only fix.I just experienced the 114 mph limit in my CB. Has anyone had a recent SC experience where the inverters/motors were replaced which increased their limit to 132 mph? I believe this will fix the vibration as well.
