The article didn't have any numbers to the mass production goal. So is it 1,000/week 3,000/week? Whatever their goal is for the end of '23, they still know they need to ramp up production after that. And I'm hoping I'm wrong, but my guess is that even at the end of '23 there will still be issues with supply chains and 4680 production. Still hoping to have my CT by the end of '24 but that is all it is. Looks like I'll be getting my MY in a couple weeks which is in the middle of the EDD guess they gave me in March. But they have been making them for some time now to give an educated guess on when they can deliver. Just hoping they give me an EDD 6-8 months out. The wait sure has been LONG!!!
I don't think it will be straight supply chain issues at less than 500 per week volumes. It will be technical issues which pushed back start dates for vendor's to supply in volume.

Except for that part where you said what our conclusion should be.
Simply reminding us what was said would be to offer the quote and then not offer an opinion of what we should take from the quote.

Yup and I'm just asking who thinks it will be done? Anyone here?
I am guessing around 20k trucks next year. Maybe in mid teens though.

Operations head at Tesla is that rare masochist who could’ve graduated from an elite 8 in Physics or McGill in Science but couldn’t pander to institutional bureaucracy and dropped out.
Brave enough to say, if you know more than my skill sets with my track records of accomplishments from Toyota (two regions), Mack, Renault and Volvo, why did you even hire me to let me do my job? And when the know-it-all dictator says, you're fired. can answer back, no, I resigned as of first hour this morning.:p

Even masochists have their limits, lol.

I will wait to see how close they get to 5,000/week for Model Ys at GA this year, before putting out a guess, but I suspect they will get close to 5,000/week this year so I am inclined to believe they will hit their CT targets. Maybe 50,000-60,000 by the end of 2023? But yes, when someone official gives me a number or date I believe it until they fail.

potentially the source, if you read it - it concurs with all reporting we know - but at least we have the context source stating that it's volume ramp, not "entering" production like the article alluded.

The Tedlarati article said they expect to be ramped up by the end of 2023. Elon told the world that the full production of Cybertruck would be 250,000 per year, so the conclusion should be that their run rate will hit 5,000 per week by the end of 2023.
yes.... mass production means all cylinders are firing .... not a ramp up.....so that would be a lot of CT every week by the end of '23.

If they are actually making CT battery packs in Fremont now. I don't think they would want them sitting on a shelf/maintainer for more than 6 months. First CT rolling of the line in April/May. 2-5k per week by the end of 2023.

Well, a bunch of them have to be built and tested, frozen, crashed, etc. So they'll get used.
