You'd have to look at accidents per type of vehicle per 100K or the like to make it relative.

Not really, since what the article I linked tracked was the change in deaths. You'd not expect these deaths to go up, as all other traffic deaths are on the downswing. The number of cars and trucks per American is fairly stable.

And yeah, there are ways around it. I wish every vehicle came with a 360 camera setup.

It’s called planned obsolescence. No company will add every feature all at once. They like to add only one new feature at a time so that you will keep on buying their product. I saw this at the post office. The machine company would only add one new features at a time. That way, the post office will always be buy the latest versions every other year.

I entirely forgot that the frunk is our way to add fluids, 12 v battery, and filters. It isn't 'just' a storage area. These things, and all the other points raised, kill the tray idea. The Canoo 'is' looking good. I am pleased with the BEVs coming out.

?Saw a YT video on the Canoo. The You can see your toes with that dashboard out of the way. Pretty neat!

Lots of weed inhalers here. Very similar to the inhalers they are using to get the next generation addicted to nicotine and lung destroying bad habits.

They also have 360 birdseye.

Hopefully we see something similar on the Cybertruck. Very least want to see 1 in the frunk, 2 120v outsets in the vault, and 1 240v outlet in the vault.

So Ford has a grand total of 10 120v outlets? Wow. Cybertruck has to have at least this.
Having 2 240’e would be sweet. I just can’t see Tesla falling short here. Match ford or better

I am fine with outlets as long as they make sense. I can see a few up front and a few in the back and maybe even in the cab but to add more outlets just to beat Ford or Rivian (or whomever) shouldn't be the goal. It would be useful to have a 220 up front and in the bed, as you say.

If cup holders are a metric for how Tesla is going to compete with other manufacturers, then Tesla will lose the competition. Our M3 and MY each have 2 cup holders and a couple of holes in the side 'pockets' that a vessel can be put in. My Lexus RX had more than that and I miss them. I am not nearly as demanding when it comes to outlets, given that I have never had a real 110 (let alone a 220) outlet a car, but having seen how impressive the Ford Lightning is wrt outlets I hope that Tesla will be more liberal with them than they are with cup holders.

What the heck is the big deal with having a big ass frunk in a truck? We've had trucks for over 100 years that didn't have ANY frunk.

IT'S A TRUCK PEOPLE!!!

It's not like the damn thing doesn't have much storage space. The only reason why Ford and the legacy folks are building their trucks like that is because they want to make THEIR EV-trucks look just like their ICE trucks. EVs don't NEED a big front end. I've ALWAYS wondered why EVs aren't made with low stylish front ends like mid-engine or rear engine vehicles. I was really glad to see the Cybertruck front end was lower in 2019. It reminds me a bit of a sand rail buggy. Tesla doesn't need to try and compete with Ford over the size of a Frunk. How big is the bed of the Lightning, or a Rivian. I would imagine the CT even with a tiny Frunk would have more storage space than any of the other EV-trucks. Take advantage of the fact you don't need a big ass front end!

This was my car in 91, it didn't have a frunk, and I was happy without it!
