Have people ever considered not giving a *&^%&* what the CEO of a company thinks and just buying what you like. I dont know what the Sony CEO thinks about anything. Or the Gatorade CEO, or Levis. I have a good idea what Apple CEO thinks but also dont care. I just dont care about the CEOs personal views. CEOs are all weirdo rich people anyway. Why would I care what their weird opinions are. Who has time for this?
Nailed it ! Funny part is those same people acting like they hate anything Elon makes acting like he’s ā€œunethicalā€ and don’t a line with there views wear Nikes made by slaves and kids cell phones with slaves mining in the Congo and so on and secretly know it but turn there eye to that ! Bunch of idiots hypocrites.

Working in the city of Philadelphia an older woman asked what type of car it was. I said it’s a Tesla. She said, and I quote ā€œ I don’t think I can support his products anymoreā€, I replied ā€œ Do you know that Hitler started Volkswagen in 1937?ā€ as she got into her Tiguan. She looked at me with a blank stare, and I laughed as she drove away shaking her head.

Just picked up my CT on 11/20, I already have had two guys in a car flag me down to say they hate it. Said now that they see one up close it is ugly. I just said okay, thats why im driving it. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø I had multiple kids awe at it, or while im driving literally down the road, kids are hanging out their windows waving and grinning.
i honestly didnt think this truck was suck an attention getter.

You do know Hitler is dead, right? And Nazis were forced to divest from car companies?

Why waste your energy trying to diagnose a ā€˜problem’ that’s already been solved? The answer is simple: jealousy. Some folks just can’t stand to see you living their dream while they’re still hitting snooze on theirs.

And don’t even get me started on the brokies—those special individuals who turn their lack of ambition into an art form, blaming the world for their empty wallets and even emptier dreams. They hate not because of you, but because you remind them of what they could’ve been.

So, let them talk, write, give the thumbs down or whatever nonsense they can come up with. You keep shining. Jealousy isn’t a good look on anyone, but success? Oh, that suits you perfectly.

You do know I was stating a fact?
The key missed point is that the world is not the same in the least. Extremely misleading comparison.

Social media and nearly instant news and videos travel across all corners of the world in minutes.

People (CEOs/government influencers) with millions of followers can post or repost non-factual and misleading things. All this influence can have real, translated consequences for many people's lives in negative ways.

Before wrapping my truck, I encountered negativity daily—thumbs down, ā€œloserā€ signs, and even being flipped off.

The day I wrapped it in satin black, everything changed. People started giving me compliments, thumbs up, and even walking up to tell me how much they admired it.

Now, with the addition of four crossbars and Starlink, the compliments have shifted beyond just the truck—they’re directed at me personally!

The other day at In-N-Out, an employee came up and said, ā€œMan, I saw your truck, then noticed the Starlink, and thought, this guy is legit.ā€

It’s hard to explain, but the stainless steel finish seemed to provoke a strong reaction in people. The transformation after the wrap has been remarkable.

I did not see that coming.

Have others noticed this phenomenon as well?!?

That be cool. I'm wrapping mine not because of this, but because Tesla Service scratched the hell out of my truck. Idiots.

Tesla’s delivery team has the tools and expertise to sand down the panels and remove even the deepest scratches.

Our second truck had some shockingly deep scratches on the rear quarter panel—it looked like someone went at it with a nail. It took Tesla two days, but they made it look better than new.

Letting go of the raw stainless steel look was tough because I loved it, but I’m so glad I went with the satin black PPF.

For our second beast, we chose satin white PPF, and it turned out great. It’s currently at our other house, but I’ll snap some photos and share them later this week.

Having been an owner of a Tesla since the time when Elon was still a Democrat, I've had my fare share of hate coming from the right-wing family/friends. Now, I'm getting hate from the left-wing family/friends for owning the same exact Tesla after Elon has switched the parties. Curiously, the right-wingers no longer confront me for having the same Tesla they confronted me for just a couple years ago. It used to be that the rednecks in F250s would block the charging stalls at the Tesla Superchargers and roll coal into the windshield when passing. They are much more accepting of the Tesla now, but the crazy left-wingers seriously scare me more than the rednecks did a few years ago. The hatred for Tesla is so visceral among the left-wing nowadays. Just read articles on Electrek and feel the hatred from both the authors and the commenters. I'm not so scared for myself as for my wife being confronted by one of those nutcases when she drives the Cybertruck. Seeing how there is absolutely no consequences for them destroying property or openly steeling from stores, I don't think the police would even do anything at all if a nutcase were to confront my wife and/or vandalize the Cybertruck. This thought didn't even enter my mind until a few months ago when I started hearing the visceral and militant hate for Musk and for the Cybertruck from the people I've known for a long time and had never thought they would have such strong opinions about a CEO, a company, or a particular vehicle. We truly live in some seriously messed up times when before buying a vehicle, one has to consider how others would react.
You know the saying ā€œHell hath no fury like a woman scornedā€? Well, I think that applies to hard lefter’s too (progressives). They’ve been scorned big time, and they are the ones that would key a CT, given the chance.
