“We’re anticipating having a delivery event probably in Q3” -Elon Musk on earnings call.

On Cybertruck spec question... "Well I think will save that for the Cybertruck hand over event which will hopefully be in the end of Q3. It's an incredible product. A product like this only come along once. People will not be disappointed, it's amazing"

Tesla shared a never before seen look-in at the Cybertruck Pilot production line at Giga Texas today.
mom not taking this guy to have been extra analytic in his phrasing

the one photo of GigaTX is clearly labeled so

the other photos are not

makes some sense pilot line is not in TX

if this is scaled correctl, getting a 37/12.5 on there might be possible but anything taller or wider is likely gonna be very hard to do.
I think taller wouldn't be the issue. When I had my Ram with factory air there were aftermarket parts that basically made the truck think it was riding lower and therefore needed to be lifted. I can't remember the name but other cars do it to get lower as well.

The photo labeled
"G I G A F A C T O R Y T E X A S — T O O L I N G F O R C Y B E R T R U C K P R O D U C T I O N L I N E"
is not the production line for cybertruck. It is a gigapress (9k ton?).
The other photos are a pilot line in CA.

@CorySteuben

Love the size of this front Giga-casting, I can see SPR’s and threaded fasteners securing the body-side to the castings. No body-on-frame here! The geometry of the steel A-pillar perfectly ties into the top of shock tower. This thing will be STIFF.
I'm stiff already

which would explain all the sightings in CA and near none in TX (outside the aero acoustic shots)
The Texas Cyber Trucks are in fact invisible.

I don't believe many of the SS skin panels will be structural. When Elon uses the term "exoskeleton," I believe he simply means tough/durable. It's sort of like his use of the term "autopilot," which really means driving assistant.
At least we have established one thing: that you do not believe what Elon Musk says. I guess there is no point in our communicating further since I do believe him.

If that bottle is indeed the air tank, I wonder where it will be placed and if it'll have cross-car functionality similar to the S/X. For comparison, this is what the air suspension "Superbeam" looks like in the Model S/X. Essentially CT's is huge in comparison!!

that would be a weird principle to take so staunchly

just one contradiction and your principle glitches

Wait so I watched the announcement event and haven't really been following the scene much since then. but based on this thread it looks like basically none of the things that made the original announcement good would be present at release?

I was mainly excited for the large size, exoskeleton design and the rugged thick steel body that can take a hit from a sledgehammer and not show a dent. Is that stuff not happening anymore? Is it just going to be like a model Y in pickup truck form and stainless body panels now?
