Wait what? There are quotes from Elon and pictures already. There are in various threads here.
I was wrong. I had t gone through the whole thread. I just can’t believe what a bad design to through the battery in the bed. The truck had 17ā€ of clearance. Most don’t need that. So take 2ā€ in the cab snd 2ā€ below for 15ā€ of clearance and double up the battery below the truck. This just shows Elon has his head so far up Twitter that he isn’t helping solve engineering anymore and these duffs just put the battery in the bed

In a way it is a good idea but only if you can get it out/in when you need to, and if it’s functionality outside the CT is available.
I wonder if it would be better just to convert the entire tailgate to a battery if it’s got power assist. or use that redundant space under the vault. Why put a huge block in the back of the bed. It’s like they don’t get the point of a truck.

Tesla: ā€œlook at all these crazy cost saving efficient advancements we are making aren’t we great. Aren’t our vehicles the best!ā€
Customer: ā€œAwesome! So we get more performance at a better price, right?!ā€
Tesla: ā€œā€¦..ā€
Tesla.com: ā€œLess Performance at a Higher Price!!!!! -ORDER NOW!!-ā€œ

Really disappointing.

Significant?
I’d think it’s safe to assume that if AP/FSD were available on the Cybertruck, it would be mentioned if not in the presentation (ā€œand, this truck can drive itselfā€) then at least on the website

it’s conspicuously absent from either

Not saying it’ll never make it to the CT, soon-ish even - but only that the folks driving theirs anytime real soon…

I wonder if they didn't want to broach the initial 'pre-order' FSD prices "discussion" of $7000 (or $8000). "Let that marinate." [a Letterkenny reference]

I only saw a conventional rearview mirror. Any news on a digital display setup so that you can still look out the back via a camera when the Vault is closed? Toyota has done this for years. Corvette has it, too. I'm sure other cars now have it.
Sandy Munro drove one for about two hours and says there ain't NO MIRROR.
On reflection, it's a good idea!!
Best part, and all that......
