Hi Mark Z, today I removed the plastic guides and it worked!!! I am very happy and relived that I don't have to go to service. I've been there 6 times in a month and a half, and It has taken a
toll on me.

at the ends of the bed divider, there is a hole with a nut inside. You need a socket that fits to remove them. Once you do, the ends (that extend) come off and there are plastic spaces in the end piece that can be removed to give it more wiggle up and down.

I did this, but didn’t work for me. It was still sitting too high. I am working on another fix.

Be sure to push down on the ends after the plastic guides are removed. The guides prevent extra flexibility. The extra flexibility requires a bit of manual downward pressure to take advantage of the added vertical movement.

The timing to push the pressure pads into place is just before closing the center latch. Best to determine if the passenger or driver side fits easier first, then work on the other side. Double check alignment with the horizontal holes if problems persist.

Here are more photos as requested.

Remove the nut with a 5/16" socket. Note the round spacer and spring position on the threaded shaft. The plastic guides are shown as originally positioned. Finally the plastic guides are removed. Make sure to secure the nut at the same depth as before. Without the plastic guides, it will rattle a bit until fully mounted and secure. Save the plastic guides if you need to restore the Vault Cargo Divider to original condition.

I plan to add a thin protective tape to the underside of Vault Cargo Divider to decrease scratches.

Thanks for this! It bought me a much needed 2mm. Had to do this as well as remove the rubber feet. Not necessary, but I made some plastic inserts to replace the ones we remove that hold the clamp feet at the optimal position:

Did you buy those D-rings or did it come installed as they advertised on foundation series? I'm missing em, gonna have to reach out..
The divider fit issue is known. Report the problem to Tesla Service - they looked at mine and report the bed deck plate is warped up...

They have ordered a replacement and will advise me when it arrives...

That said: This is first I am hearing the Foundation comes with ALL the accessories????..
..because I ordered the divider, carpet set, console tray and sunroof screen.

With the vehicle, I got:
Rubber mat set
Console Tray
Sunroof screen - which does NOT fit at all, it is too narrow to clip on the sides.
....nothing else.

Of course..we are all missing the hub caps...

Regards
Jack

Not ‘all’, this is what accessories FS should deliver with:

- Carpet Mats
- All-weather Mats
- Sun Shade
- L-track hooks x2
- L-track Bottle Opener x1
- D-rings x4 installed in the vault floor (these are in addition to the d-rings on the sides of the Vault)
- Center Console Tray
- Gear Locker Dividers x2
- Mobile Connector (PowerShare edition, with 110v+220v adaptors)
- J1772 adaptor
- Thumb Drive in the glovebox

Still waiting for:

- Wheel Covers
- Off-road Lightbar (Beast only)

The Tesla Shop shows which accessories come with FS at the bottom of those listings.

I wasn't sure if these should fit the top half the gap where the black plastic pieces come out, or the bottom half of the gap. I think I went bottom. Anyway, I installed, and they helped some, I can put my divider in with my bed liner now.

Received my divider in today and installed within seconds nice and easy. Glad I did not have any issues, but was following this thread just in case for the great troubleshooting steps here!

Anyone try the rail mod and plastic spacer mod to see if they could get the divider to fit with a bed liner in place?

I did all the mods (removing floor to check for proper fit, raise side rails up as much as possible, installed 2mm thinner 3D printed plastic spacers). With those done I am able to use the divider on top of a mat in the back part of the bed, but struggle to use it in the front part of the bed. If I remove the liner I can use it just fine anywhere in the bed.

This works! I tried adjusting the rails and the bed floor and this is the only thing that made a difference.
