I've been confronted numerous times by kids, usually with an adult. Always offer to let them sit in the drivers seat. They have this visible excitement and awe.
This is awesome, but when unlocked, anyone in the driver's seat could move the vehicle. Use "Pin to Drive" if you're letting strangers behind the wheel.

You’ve given me a great idea. I will choose a green wrap for it so that when they tell me it’s ungreen, I’ll just point at it’s color.
I see your method in my madness. Is UNGREEN available as a wrap color? Asking for a friend.

I recently said in another post my experience has been 1/3rd positive, a little over 1/3rd don't care, and about 1/4th are negative.

There is really a lot of positive feedback. I take both positive and negative positively. Love to teach people when they are curious. I've had dozens and dozens of kids through it, they tend to love it. A lot of people are just curious and haven't had the opportunity to get up close with one.
Honestly if someone hates it tells me more about them than about the truck or me so I just smile, laugh, wave and continue my day.

Negatives below (ignore below if you don't care):
Coal rolling, thumbs down, flipped off, told by some Tesla owners "Oh I bought mine before Elon went bad", yelled at, some vehicles now "gas it" as they drive by my house (lived there for 2 years, started about 2 months ago when I got it), called stupid, attempted guilt trips, intentional "door dings", told its dangerous and the frame will break while I'm driving (LoL, thanks WhistlinDiesel), etc.

There is also a lack of respect by people. If I had a corvette, or a GTR, etc (I've known people with both so I've seen the reactions) people look at them, take pictures of them, and are in general respectful (there will always be that ONE asshole of course). With the cybertruck people come up and push the buttons, touch all over it, knock on the panels. I have a security video of these 4 kids for like 10 minutes hitting (not pushing) the buttons, knocking on the panels, just screwing around with it. I don't comprehend it.

The thing that gets me the most is that after I bought it my wifes boss got this huge attitude and refused to acknowledge it. Started treating her differently (bad way) and eventually my wife left because of the treatment (she didn't need that job, she has contract work as well, but she enjoyed it [billing/accounting/regulation stuff]). Her boss had no problem talking about her million dollar house on the lake but couldn't handle a successful subordinate?!? (yeah, always more to stories but really there isn't to this one, they will be hurting without her)

Yes. While stopped at downtown traffic light (san diego), random person bangs loudly on passenger window and kicks the door yelling “he has to pay, he has to pay” and some other ramblings i could understand. For a moment i thought i had driven over someone, it wasnt a homeless. Very weird.

but the most annoying are many neighbors whom i know well and often talked to have this passive aggressive we don’t talk about that thing in front of your yard or semi joke attitude. The assumption seems to be that _I_ am now elon musk or have assumed his political views or i don’t know what.
Have people ever considered not giving a *&^%&* what the CEO of a company thinks and just buying what you like. I dont know what the Sony CEO thinks about anything. Or the Gatorade CEO, or Levis. I have a good idea what Apple CEO thinks but also dont care. I just dont care about the CEOs personal views. CEOs are all weirdo rich people anyway. Why would I care what their weird opinions are. Who has time for this?

LoL, rural western side of Virginia.
I have dozens of examples of negative reactions.

I go to the Maryland Tesla light shows because the Virginia group apparently doesn't accept new members @_0

I’ve heard from several of my acquaintances about how much they hate Musk and especially the Cybertruck. Some of them used to be Musk’s fanbois before Musk switched the political views. Just as much as they were radical in supporting Musk before, they are now radical in hating on Musk. But the Cybertruck drives them especially crazy.

Has anyone been personally confronted and/or threatened for owning a Cybertruck?
Never. I’ve had a few thumbs downs and even a couple of birds but overwhelmingly thumbs ups and curious people walking up to ask questions and ask for selfies/etc. the hate online is much more prominent than what I see in person.

I get mostly good interactions, but the first time I took my grandson for a ride he said "Pawpaw! That guy just flipped the bird at us." I told him: "Haters are going to hate. Little does he know he just made himself a prayer target! We can pray he gets a better attitude, becomes less ignorant and if he is lost, he finds Jesus." - "Pawpaw? is this what they call a target rich environment? ? "

I keep a bunch of little folded handouts about the size of a business card that I hand out to people after answering their questions and letting the kids climb around. Some have "dad jokes" about Cybertrucks with a little education thrown in. Some are just a link to an 18 page ebook I wrote about my 50-year wait for the CT. Here is a link to PDFs of the handouts I use. Feel free to use as is or as a starting point for your own ideas for doing something similar.

Overwhelmingly positive, but I have had someone try to ram me twice on the interstate, and one teenager on a 4-wheeler (riding in his yard) randomly slam him brakes as I was passing by just to flip the double bird.

I assume both of their brains are rotted from social media and extreme jealousy. It's honestly quite pathetic.

Mostly positive here but it does look like it was designed to be in your face so bound to get some negative attention.

Why would I care what their weird opinions are.
people are concerned about impacting others due to ignorance and having influences way outside of his knowledge areas. This stuff affects people's lives and communities. Completely different from other CEOs and his spheres of influence/post/news_coverage ('passionate' followers).

One of many examples in recent times. quotes on x
