So wondering if anyone has had this experience.

I stop at stop light. I’m in chill mode and low height …. And after I stop at light for few seconds on two occasions I feel as if the back suspension has a pop sensation and comes down. My first reaction was tire type feeling but pressures haven’t moved. Is their some sleep mode that modified suspension when not in drive that causes this. Or is there something I should be concerned about ? To my knowledge it has happened 2-3 times so it’s not every time.

Thanks in advance for any insights. I haven’t reached out to Tesla yet as the car drives fine when green light comes. It’s just an odd feeling when it happens.

Several threads on here about this issue. Seems to be pretty common.

Everyone experiences this. Likely just readjusting. Doesn't seem to indicate any problem although I haven't seen a conclusive explanation why it is a "pop" when other times it adjusts the suspension it has a softer release. But rest assured there is nothing unusual about your truck in this regard.

happened to me this morning for the first time. Seemed strange but no error or issue apparent. Came on here to see if anyone else had mentioned it and saw this post.
I have a Service center visit on Friday and will ask them anyway, just in case

First couple times it happened to me I thought someone bumped me from behind. Happened within the 1st 1k miles. Then it didn't do it for a long time, now it just did it once earlier this week at a light. Almost 11k miles on now, pretty sure the 50k Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty will be gone by the end of next year for me.

To add: When I drive into an area or frequently visited address, the ride height will adjust itself & on screen will show in blue lettering “adjusting height based on location” - weird feeling - I’d love for someone to provide info on what’s occurring.

The truck is constantly adjusting the suspension for the ride. I believe that what is happening is that it may be trying to level at a stop. And because the truck isn't moving, the suspension may get slightly bound up and it just jerks a little instead of a smooth deflate.

It must be leveling itself. In my opinion, not worth it if you are just at a light for a minute. I’m assuming something they will adjust with a software update.

I can’t even drive around in low. It automatically goes to medium height. I’m kinda jealous you can drive in low.

If you've ever manually adjusted the height while driving, the truck saves that location and can cause weirdness later. For example, I noticed this exact thing while driving out of our Target parking lot. Figured out that I had set it to high at some point in that area to flex ?? ?. Now EVERY TIME I drive away from that location I get a *pssst* "suspension drop" at the stop sign on the way out that area.

Try clearing your saved locations and see if it resolves it.

You can get those sounds if its adjusting height while the brakes are on. I have my truck set to prefer higher ride height but drop to low for easy entry and when I put it in park and it lowers, if I'm firmly pressing the brakes, the suspension will make some noise as the track width slightly changes etc.

It can also be a pretty great feature! Try setting high at the Starbucks drive thru you frequent or when you go over a RR track. I like how it remembers based on location.

True, but if the area is close enough to a major road, you'll get some funkiness as soon as you slow or stop.

But it's primo for flexing lol
