@ConcreteTilt Thanks for the reporting and information. Ignore the haters ;)

I stopped by Dublin the other day and they still have a backlog of trucks waiting to be delivered. This information makes sense. Otherwise I have no idea why they have been holding on to trucks for weeks.

Checked this morning and 3 of the 4 aerocaps were loose at the center, tapped each one to pop back in. I’ll be taking them off later today.

Looking forward to receiving the new CT aerocaps 2.0 from Tesla.

Obviously they didn't know, and no, panels are not glued to the truck.

You probably should cancel, you seem under a bit of duress. Or, just post up your reservation for sale like that other guy and Tesla will cancel it for you. :)
they had to know...really? 1000 miles and worn into tire 1/4 inch. not good. anyone would know just not reported. And yes 100 percent the panels are glued to the clips that are clipped to the structure. the video was posted on Sandy Munro You tube channel at factory.

well anyways, yes I just canceled my order and keeping my Chevy EV Silverado order. It's' just not built to the quality standard control a vehicle manufacturer needs to be especially at 100k. It's a no brainer unless you're infactuated with Elon and Tesla. I make a ton of money and could buy the thing easily but Im just smarter with my money. Ford? no, Rivian? no. Silverado looking to be the best option for an electric truck. Done.

I have a full conversation with tesla app CS. They call it a “parts containment pending new revision”…. Reasoning “possible damage to tire” . They stopped short of calling it a recall… also said it was “under investigation”.

Said they won’t send the ones I already bought and cancelled my appt for tomorrow morning to install them. Really bizarre. i asked about what the new design looks like and if people that have them now will need to send theirs back. No answer, so I don’t know what redesigned covers (that I didn’t buy) they are sending me whenever they actually send them.
Here are the details
This is exactly right (not that you asked)

But since you're here, can you 'review' a related issue:

The aero cover attachment rings, which clip to the wheels

I *suspect* that after several hundred/a few thousand miles those ring attachment points scuff the finish on the wheel

Can you discuss?

I am scheduled for delivery in 10 days. I will refuse the delivery without the caps. I already paid in cash but do not want half ass truck. The range is already miss represented. Without the caps should be 10% less.
*I am glad I opt out of arbitration.

Well, that looks better! Maybe we can get $2,000 off!
To limit wind drag, can't they design a flat insert installed from inside the wheel?!??

Probably why they are not coming with recent deliveries.

Wheel cap tips rubbing tire, wearing it down.

Cybertrucks wheel caps are being recalled, and if you have a Cybertruck currently with them installed, I’d advise removing them till a new iteration is released sometime in March.
The reason being, the rubber end tips of the cap are making direct contact with the sidewall of the tire as it bulges on the contact patch; thus wearing it down. Tesla is currently in the process of redesigning the rubber end tips so they do not come in contact with the tire as it rotates. That’s why some owners have been taking delivery of their CT’s without them.

For sure. The attachment points and the outer tabs will wear into the wheel paint. Same as other Tesla aero covers.

Our aero covers fit inside the wheel, not over the tires:
