It will eventually come down to economics. I have not heard the price of this or Cybertruck. People gravitate towards the best overall value.
Assuming they’re comparatively priced, CT doesn’t seem to offer the size nor practicality of a work truck—small frunk, weird triangle buttress that prevents a flat bed surface, less towing capacity than thought, and if only 120-140 kWh battery, that range sucks.

ASIDE:
I'm not educated enough in electrical engineering to know the answer to this, but with something like the Tesla Mobile Connector deciding what to draw based on the dongle, what happens when the charger tries to draw 40 amps if the DC/AC inverter is only capable of, say, 30 amps? It would of course not trip a 50a breaker, but would the inverter be damaged by this, or is this just a physics thing where you only get what is available?
I don't think I followed your example exactly with the inverter. I would think the quality (read cost) of the inverter would have protection logic built into them.

Re: drawing more amps than the circuit breaker is rated for
In many EVs you can manually lower the amps limit when doing AC mobile charging. In Tesla you can lower it in the car and fairly recently using the phone app. ie. I can have a 30 amp circuit breaker and 30 amp gauge wire size on that circuit with a NEMA 14-50 wall receptacle on it. I can plug my Gen 1 mobile connector to it (with the NEMA 14-50 adapter plug w/built in circuitry to tell the car 40a is the limit). My TMX will show the max of 40 amps but I need to dial it down to 24 (30*80%) manually.

It may take a while for the circuit to trip but it is designed to trip. You could have something melt due to resistance before that tho. This electrical engineer contacted the manufacturer for that spec design when his circuit breaker wasn't tripping. Super interesting.

yeah, people seem to constantly skip over the fact that all of these stats are keyed to throttled by MSRP.

I could have and list every spec of all three trucks, and none of it means much without this one big, glaring, hole:

Assuming you’re using standard 21” wheels, R1T max pack curb weight is too high. Should be closer to 6700 lbs.

Also, battery size is 149 kWh (not 180). Range is 410 miles

EDIT TO ADD:
Have bolted up a compare (in heat map) of interior dimensions:
As suspected (by some) for a while, interior dimensions come in nearest to a Chevy Avalanche, but with width at hips (determining seat width) being comparable to a Toyota Tacoma - which explains the lack of 6th seat, but also portends a rather narrow rear seat that is "5 passengers" in name along the lines of a Tacoma (though CT's better shoulder width will help a touch).

EDIT TO ADD A 2ND TIME: ADDED THE HEAT MAP OF EXTERIOR DIMENSIONS (note Rivian height is a bit slippery to get nailed down, but height I view as really a nearly irrelevant stat for adaptive vehicles)
Why would you leave out the Silverado EV?

Simply: because it doesn't exit

The "WT" if fleet only. And, they appear to have sold a few to date to a strategic partner (like Tesla's Semi "sales" to Pepsi). Irrelevant to me.

Meanwhile, the only retail version we have any data on is the flagship, with a $107K MSRP. That model's stats, and pricing, may change materially between now and 2025 when they (now) say they'll re-attempt launch. Irrelevant to me.

Besides, when 6 months ago people would try and compare the Lightning to the CT, I was pretty principled and vocal that there's no relevant comparison to make unless/until the CT is actually released, and with the release information.

Consistency

Flat out false. People have towed 15k with R1T and they say it handled perfectly fine. Just not recommended

I'd also want yearly production rate in this graph. Neither the 150 nor the R1T are selling in large volume's.

Earlier today, a $TSLA simp (whole mars) was lambasting a story for saying the new Ram with generator had "infinite" range. The take-down involved some xwtitter quip like, "is there no integrity to these ICE companies anymore?"

I was *nearly* bothered to reply a screenshot of "tow infinite mass"

yearly production rate is no doubt an interesting metric - but I don't know that I'm following its relevance here, now?

CT's production rate is currently zero?

And whatever it's production rate may be, say, 6 months from now, I'm still not certain of the relevance?

I think I am going to start offering Cybertruck reality grief counseling. Seems like a lot of us are going to see a reality that is less than our expectations.
You know this is a forum for a Tesla vehicle right?
This is where expectations come to grow and flourish regardless of evidence, sensibility or practicality.
It's where the echo chamber amplifies them and encourages even further expectations to build and build.

Quick history snippet. Remembering back to the Model 3 prior to the reveal. The TMC forum took a single tweet from EM about the interior where he said "its like a spaceship"
The echo chamber there eventually got to - its going to have a huge heads up display and the other screen was just a backup. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Using the posted 143" for the Wheelbase, extrapolation in recent images to double check does indeed result in an overall Length very close to 18.6 feet.
