Mike, we’ve installed around 50 PowerShare units, with the average cost at $3250. We choose to handle the process independently in order to provide an personable and seamless installation experience. Located in Atlanta, GA.

Also, the existing Wall Connector will need to be swapped for a Universal, as there is a 12VDC power/comm circuit that will need to be installed from the UTWC to the Gateway.

Feel free to ask questions!

Thanks,

Lee
Also in the Atlanta area Lee (Alpharetta) and interested in quote. We should talk.

The Cybertruck will source 40A from the (nonlocking) 14-50 outlet in the bed. I'd suggest using a locking 50A SS2-50 on the house side. Otherwise, you run the risk (load or fault dependant) of either overcurrenting the cable/ L14-30 or tripping the inlet breaker (assuming it is 30A).

Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/CircleRiver-Generator-14-50P-SS2-50R-Locking/dp/B0BL2KTH1R

It seems like you could have the best flexibility with a powerwall connected to your main panel that would 'instantly' switch over (eg vacation or away from house at grocery store, etc)

AND have that transfer switch so when you are at home and plugged into the CT bed that you could pick what runs on the CT and what runs on the powerwall. As well the transfer switch input could be:
a) cybertruck
b) Anker SOLIX F3800 w/NEMA 14-50
c) gas powered generator (borrowed from friend or whatever)

My associated attempted picture.

Yeah, that's sorta the setup I am trying to get installed with Powershsre upstream of existing full panel manual transfer switch. Powerwall installation guide calls out PW then Automatic transfer switch for dual backup options.

Does anyone know of any installers in the Fremont, CA area? Qmerit is crazy expensive! Tesla's site only links to Qmerit which smells like a monopoly!

Fantastic! Thx!

Oops, no certified installers in the Silicon Valley Area for Powershare. That makes no sense!
Don't search Powershare, use Powerwall. It's 99% the same + communication wire.
Even the Qmerit recommended company isn't on the Powershare list.

Lee, I'm glad you commented here. I just placed an order for a PowerShare install with you. Thanks Brad!
Awesome, thank you! I was just up your way last weekend doing a supply drop for hurricane victims and to run the Tail of The Dragon/Cherohala Skyway/28. Since we've left, the Dragon and 28 show as road closures. Do you know what's going on up there?

Yes they are showing closing but it only applies to trucks over 30’. Some semi trucks were running the Tail due to storm road closings elsewhere which is illegal.

as I posted in another thread, i denied four bids by qmerit affilates before accepting a fifth bid which I found somewhat reasonable.

my take, keep denying the quotes...and see if the quotes keep going down.
